To be fair to him, I haven't given him a listen nor am familiar. If he's legit, then I'm for it. It is interesting to see the sheer increase in country artists coming out of the show. I wonder if it's one of the easier markets to casually jump into. Tbf, it's always been that way. Kellie Pickler, Bucky Covington, Phil Stacey, Kristy Lee Cook, Casey James, Josh Gracin, etc. all ended up getting post-Idol record deals and several of them did pretty well -- though for short time periods -- despite not winning or even coming close to the crown. Kellie Pickler had a better career than a good 4 or 5 of the actual winners. This would actually be an interesting thread: Idol/Voice/AGT/etc contestants that signed to country labels, who, for how long, etc.

Is Warner ever going to bother sending anything from Randall King out to radio again? It's been a long time..

American Idol winner Noah Thompson released his version of Rihanna’s Stay today with Broken Bow as the credited label. According to spotify he is on the Wheelhouse label. This is correct. He's on Wheelhouse Records under the exclusive license of 19 Recordings. Is Warner ever going to bother sending anything from Randall King out to radio again? It's been a long time.. Not likely until he has some sort of "Track record" behind him digitally or touring-wise. He's "too country" I suppose for country radio.

And Jelly Roll is on the Stoney Creek Label but the website has not put him there yet. Is Warner ever going to bother sending anything from Randall King out to radio again? It's been a long time.. Sony Nashville needs to update there stuff Old Dominion was moved to Arista last year but are still listed as RCA recording artist's. This seems to be an issue with almost every label i.e (Big Machine- Avenue Beat, and Warner Music Nashville- Kenny Rogers, Randy Travis?). Seemingly, these types of updates are not a high priority for them. I can understand if there are no updates or if they are waiting for many changes before updating the website, but I don't understand how they can post news updates and especially add and take artists off the website and not make those changes you mentioned.

And as far as Rascal Flatts they are done as well but still listed on the Big Machine Website, I wish I could work for a label im sure someone gets paid to do there web stuff.

I wonder if Georgia Webster and Karley Scott Collins will ever be assigned to a Sony Nashville label I seen where they are still signed to Sony but no label for either yet?

Don't know if it leaked out anywhere else but a name from about 10 years ago is back in Bradley Gaskin. He's signed to Florida-based 30A Life Records and is working with Keith Stegall. He has two tracks on stremaing services. Link.

Is this because they removed his picture or is there an actual confirmation of some kind? I find it pretty hard to imagine since "Keys to the Country" is currently on the country charts and he just dropped a new album a couple months ago, but I suppose it's plausible. If his song disappears from the chart completely next week, then I guess that would help paint the picture.

Dropping from label during second round of CMA Awards voting seems pretty bizarre.

Wow this sucks Chris is one of the best artist's on radio today I hope he lands at Broken Bow or Big Loud he has too much talent to see him fade away.

I'm thinking maybe he asked to be released since the label hasn't really done anything for him on the last few singles. I haven't seen it conformed he is gone, but KTTH dropped significantly today on the Music Row chart, and I've noticed when a song drops there it's usually done even at mainstream country.

Labels like Big Loud, Triple Tigers & Quartz Hill could do wonders for his career I do not think we have seen the last of Chris Janson as an artist.

They've put out a song already, too. They used to perform under Jill & Julia and I have a few of their singles. This is a big change in sound. Was wondering if they had stopped their music career as o hadn’t heard anything for a little while. This is fine, may grow on me more with time. Definitely not a radio single haha

Considering he and his wife's teamed with BMLG Records on a label called Harpeth 60 Records, I can see a time where Janson will land at one of BMLG's labels under that same banner. It makes too much sense. Even if he doesn't end up with BMLG, he'll likely end up on another label with that imprint tied to whatever home he finds.

Shania Twain has shifted from Mercury Nashville to Republic Nashville, according to today's All Access Country Daily.

Shania Twain has shifted from Mercury Nashville to Republic Nashville, according to today's All Access Country Daily. Is that still under the UMG umbrella or was that the one affiliated with Big Machine?

I could be mistaken but I thought Republic Nashville was rebranded as BMLG Records.

It looks as if Shania Twain has parted ways with UMG Nashville, as she is no longer listed on their website. If she is still under the UMG umbrella, I wonder if it is Republic Records and not Republic Nashville. Or, if it is indeed a re-launch of Republic Nashville under UMG and she is the first artist signed. Only time will tell.
