Certainly!

My chart is based on a point system that uses my listening habits through Last.fm. It acts as a rolling chart, sort of like an airplay chart. The formula is as followed:

Points = (Plays in Last Three Months X 0.25) + (Plays in Last Month X 0.45) + (Plays in Last Seven Days X 0.3)

We can look at "Hello" from last week, for example.

I have played "Hello" 48 times in the last three months, 11 times in the last month, and 3 times in the last week. Plug that into the formula:

Points = (48 X 0.25) + (11 X 0.45) + (3 X 0.3)
-
Points = 12 + 4.95 + 0.9
-
Points = 17.85

This allows my chart to be more fluid moving like a real chart rather than sporadic.

@au$tin That's very interesting! I've never thought about applying such fluid motion to my personal chart, maybe because I'm comfortable with what I'm doing and I just want the chart to reflect exactly how many points a song garners throughout the week.

My personal chart has different metrics (sort of like hot 100): 1) numbers of plays, 2) numbers of times hearing it on the radio, 3) numbers of video streams (which counts way heavier since video provides a visual impact as well as the music), 4) whether I purchased the song or not within the time frame, if I purchased the song this week, then I'll give it a "novelty boost", like since it's the first time it's on my playlist, one play in the debut week should be counted heavier to me considering the first week a song clicks with me is the most exciting week of its lifespan (but that depends, if I play a song 10 times in its first week after I bought it, I'll award it 2 extra points, and if I play it 90 times, then the award point is gonna go up to 30 points since it means I'm pretty much rocking with it), and 5) other impressions like if I play off the song using a musical instrument or learn how to sing it or even perform it, I'll record such instances roughly and give extra points.

I'm trying to be as comprehensive as possible, and then I found out only about 10 songs each week can truly get my full attention, and the rest 40 songs are just holding up somehow, and my chart moves in an EXTREMELY ridiculous pace I think. Like, the chart run for Stressed Out is: 37-*1*-3-28, and now I have an idea on how long a song can keep my attention and love

It is a personal chart for a reason. Definitely make sure that it is structured so it fits your taste how you see fit. My formula took well over a year to perfect, but I've got it to where I believe it is a very accurate representation of my personal taste. Your formula sounds chaotic and complex to me, but if it works for you, I see no problem with it!

I like the beat, the minimalistic production style, her vocals on the track, and the lyrics are pretty cute. It's not an amazing song, but I really like it. It's also super fun to sing to my girlfriend.

Which is interesting considering "Work" was destined to flop for me, not even being added. It grew on me enough to add and it made its way onto the chart, but I still never thought it would be a number one for me. Now here we are it looks like it has the best chance out of the other close songs ("Gold," "Colors," "Something in the Way You Move," "Piece by Piece") to be the next number one! "Formation," "Don't Be So Hard on Yourself," and "Make Me Like You" are also shoe-ins for top five placements at the rate their moving with me. "New Bohemia" is the dark horse. I'm not sure what it's going to do yet.

I think I'm faster than you on that. But I have to admit that you make the chart run so fluid and smooth that my chart is like a hot mess in comparison.. It's common for a no.1 song to fall out of top 10 right after the week on top and the song Say It Right's run is like: 2-*1*-27-out, but that's just an extreme example..

Well, TransViolet was charting on alternative while kiiara was charting in Australia. I just check different charts out all of the time. Spotify also helps me track down others such as Billie Eilish and Nina Nesbitt.
