LOVE People Like Us, its so freaking good. I only listened once though because I didn't want to spoil it too much, so I don't completely remember what it sounds like. That song is such a smash though.

And don't judge the production off of that demo people! It's exactly that, a demo. The demo of WDKY was very different from the final.

I always assumed when people said they wanted Breakaway Kelly back they meant in terms of her level of success, look, and/or music videos. I know right? I feel like some people have completely different complaints.....some say that they want her to make Breakaway again, while others say that everything she records sounds the same (I see a lot of people saying that, which annoys me because Kelly honestly has one of the most diverse catalogs out of all the pop girls out there right now).

I never heard the songwriter's demo. The Kelly demo that leaked was pretty similar, though--the production just sounded a little flat without the little fine tuning. Anyway, my slight beef with the song wasn't the demo quality of it, it just is a little too obviously a follow-up to "Stronger" than I was hoping for, particularly after "Catch My Breath." But I want this GH to do well for her, and that seems like a good song to do it with.

KELLY Clarkson has been banned from taking a British treasure across the pond when she finishes her UK tour this weekend.

Back in July the Texan successfully bid in an auction at Sotheby’s for a ring once owned by author Jane Austen – plus a first edition of her book Persuasion.

But she has been told the gold and turquoise ring – which cost her a whopping £152,000 – cannot stay on her hand when she flies back to the US. Kelly told me: “I got up at 4am to start bidding on the auction.

“We put in an export request but I can’t take it out of the UK as they’ve named it a national treasure.”

A huge history fan, Kelly swapped her usual tour bus for a personal driver while touring the UK so she could see the sights.

She said: “I had my sister with me and we went to Derbyshire to see where the version of Pride And Prejudice featuring Kiera Knightley was filmed. Y’all live in such a beautiful place.

“When I’m here there’s so much to see as I’m a really big history nerd.

“All I’ve done for the past decade is see the tour bus so we thought we’d do something different.”

Kelly, 30, closes her tour at London’s Wembley Arena on Saturday ahead of releasing her Greatest Hits – Chapter 1 album next month.

But she can’t wait to get back to the States to move into her new home and catch up on the looming US presidental election.

Kelly added: “I’ve been reading online about the debates and I’m probably going to vote for Obama again, even though I’m a Republican at heart.

“I can’t support Romney’s policies as I have a lot of gay friends and I don’t think it’s fair they can’t get married.

“I’m not a hardcore feminist but we can’t be going back to the 50s.

“Obama is a great guy. I’ve met him and I’m a fan of Michelle too.

“She has been busy promoting better education and healthy diets, which is something we could all use a dose of reality on.”

So happy to hear the positive reception to the demo. I'm refusing to listen to it, though. I don't want a possibly flawless song be ruined by someone else's vocals. Gonna wait till Kelly's version comes out to listen to it. I'm biting my nails in anticipation.

Oh yeah I'm not talking about the Kelly leak, that was basically identical. The songwriter demo was very different.

Focus, thanks for posting this article. If I'm not mistaken, I think it's the first time that Kelly has specifically addressed Marriage Equality. I
love her regardless of her political views, but it's great to learn that she supports her #LGBT friends and fans.

Wow People Like Us sounds like such a smash! And I'm not sure why people are comparing it to Stronger? It sounds much different to me and sure the message is positive but that's about it. I think this will be absolutely massive.

F*ck yeah. I'm so glad that Kelly recognizes her impact as a public figure and is okay with voicing her political opinions, and I love her stance on gay rights and women's rights. Really refreshing to hear her say something so definitive about her political stances.

And yeah, the album cover is hideous and really a huge disappointment. The border sucks, the picture is awkward and unflattering, and 99% of those fan-made covers are superior, but I'll live.

Love the "People Like Us" demo, and I think it's the perfect positive follow-up to "Stronger", even though it's a bit cliche. Should be a big hit should she decide to release it.

Wish she wasn't a Republican, and wish she DID identify as a feminist, but I can deal. She really does exude this non-partisan "Miss Independent," including politically I guess.

OK, for the most part, an artist's political perspective is not a big deal to me. All I'm saying is that it would be nice if my favorite artist had a similar perspective on politics, values, etc. as myself. For example, I find it frustrating that the word "feminist" has become this negatively loaded term when people, like myself, identify as a "feminist" because we acknowledge gender inequality and support efforts to close this gender gap. Thus, it's refreshing when any artist or public figure espouses this perspective. Again, it's obviously not a big deal if an artist I support doesn't see things exactly the same way that I do, and I actually kinda appreciate Kelly's non-partisan and independent stance on politics, people, and life. Diversity of perspectives makes the world go round, etc. I have several close friends that are Republicans who support same-sex marriage, and I have learned to appreciate where they are coming from.

However, if Kelly openly voiced that she was against same-sex marriage, I might seriously reconsider my stan status for her. It's not easy for me to put my support behind someone that isn't supporting my rights to equality and the rights of my friends. Similarly, why would I invite anyone who votes against same-sex marriage to my same-sex wedding? Sometimes the political is personal, and it's not unreasonable for fans to care about certain viewpoints of their favorite artists.

"The Writer" is absolutely my most favorite Ellie song so I'm already shaking and crying at the thought of this cover.

PLU is a smash in the making...while it's not literally Stronger pt. II, I can see why it sort of feels that way. It's another empowerment anthem (albeit from a different perspective), and they're clearly aiming for an early-2013 hit with it, just like Stronger. (And MLWSWY and SUBG, now that I think about it...late winter just seems to be Kelly's most favorable season.)

See i feel CMB is a kelly song..But People like us..feels...out of character i agree..it doesn't feel up to her standards...it sounds like a miley cyrus song...JUst my opinion, but regardless im pumped for new kelly!!
