Yeah, that's a bummer. Not only are they really talented back-up singers, but she's formed such strong bonds with her touring family, and already lost one of her guitarists/bassists (don't know the difference tbh) to the Shania tour (not sure if that's permanent). At least her tour is over and she has some time to deal and find new talent and get to know them. Some fans saw Jason Halbert outside the show a few days ago and he said Cory would be back in January. Sad about J&K leaving the band. They all seemed so close with each other. It's going to be weird without them.

TBH the past two Stronger tours have been a Greatest Hits tour rather than a Stronger tour. :/
I wonder what little setlist changes will be made to this third NA tour.

A person at ATRL said PLU was changed to Pop-Rock. If true, I don't think Kurstin produces Pop-Rock music so that would likely mean it is the Dark Child song.

He does produce Pop-Rock: Kelly's 'Honestly' is operatic pop/rock and he has worked with 3OH!3, Pink, KT Tunstell, and The Flaming Lips just to name a few.

People throw "pop/rock" around for everything, including "Stronger." I don't think it means they changed the song to sound like "Don't Let Me Stop You" or something.

Has Kurstin produced any Pop-Rock hits though? It's believed they were planning this album since July. I recall Kelly mentioning the Dark Child song in June. The Kurstin songs were much more recent. The timing favors Dark Child I would think. He's also produced a lot more hits over his career.

I remember after the songwriter demo of Stronger leaked, people who had Kelly's version (before it leaked) said that it was much more pop/rock. I definitely think that term is thrown around a lot.

Really sad about J&K. :( That must be tough on KC, they seemed like great friends. Also, I think they were probably the best backup singers Kelly ever had....they blended in perfectly, whereas some she's had in the past stood out way too much.

I doubt Dark Child produced this if they said it was pop rock, Kurstin has a better record in that genre. Timing doesn't have much to do with it either... if a song is done then it can be put on a record. It doesn't take as long as people think to finish a song and once it IS complete there isn't much that has to be done to have it added to a track listing, especially since they JUST finished both the track-listing and the cover. Dark Child producing more hits doesn't have much to do with anything considering most of them were R&B songs and he has never had a pop rock hit. On another note, I doubt Kelly is THAT upset about J&K. Announcing you're leaving something like a touring band isn't something that just happens on the spot. I'm sure Kelly and her team have known for quite a while.

Awww... that sucks that J&K are leaving. They are pretty good solo, though, so Kelly is probably thrilled that they are going to do their own thing. She'll be their #1 fan, I'm sure.

I'm assuming that RCA heard a song that they really liked, then decided to do the greatest hits album. The Dark Child song was before July while the Kurstin material was after. It's certainly possible I'm wrong on this. I just can't consider What Doesn't Kill You as a Pop-Rock song.

Pop rock as of late has been fused with electro-pop. WDKY is definitely pop rock by today's definition of the genre.

Hilarious mention of KC's Greatest Hits album on 'What the Buck?' this week. Stars around 3:28.

No offense, but I'm not really hearing hit potential in PLU. Don't you think the chorus is kinda weak? It kinda surprises me that practically everyone who's heard is loving it.

It kinda surprises me that practically everyone who's heard is loving it. it's the song-writers demo which means a few of the lyrics were likely re-written. When we got the song-writers demo for WDKY, it was the same way. Then Kelly helped rewrite the chorus and a few lines in the second verse. VOILA! 4x platinum.

Good point. It certainly has a very easily memorable melody (compared to CMB) which is a good sign.

This is kind of random, but I was listening to her versions of "I'll be Home for Christmas," and I actually prefer the version she recorded for her mom during the concert over the iTunes Session one. Anyone else agree?

I'm confused, what's the difference between Billboard Year End Albums and Top Selling Albums for 2012?

According to tweets, the Chart Show crew is at the Wembley Show tonight! So I guess they're filming it for the show?

Random, but I kinda like the pic a little more after seeing it not cropped as much from the banner on her website, I just don't like what they did to her nose.

Sad about Jill and Kate-- I've long thought their friendship with Kelly is part of what made her so dedicated to her tours and performances. I'm sure she has known about it for a while and is thrilled about their continued attempts at finding more success, but I hope it doesn't change Kelly's opinion of long times away from home. Her world tours are truly when she shines as a vocalist and artist.

I'm confused, what's the difference between Billboard Year End Albums and Top Selling Albums for 2012? BB Year End is based on Billboard Year End Charts Which Begin I believe with end of Dec-Nov of the year, Where as teh Year End 2012 is based on the entire 2012 year Jan-Dec. This is how Christmas albums rank so high on BBYE and not so high on Yearly End
