On first listen, it's pleasant. Wish it gave her more of an opportunity to wail. Was hoping for less Easy Listening, more, I don't know, Trisha Yearwood.

I liked the key change too. I could just be the weather messing with my stream (making it pause & skip), but the key change sounded messy. Was it just me? I just like key changes in songs, LOL. I didn't notice anything weird, but I was listening from my phone speaker in my car, so I wasn't listening that closely.

Its pretty uneventful and sounds rather dated. I'm glad Vince is barely audible though. Its a pleasant song, i guess.

Actually listening again, it's just really uneventful. I wish she would open her voice up a bit more, reach for those glory notes. I get that it's a sweet song but I would love to hear more of her chest register on this. Right now it feels too much like a Colbie Caillat song-- obviously that's not bad, but she seems a bit restrained.

It's not an exciting song. She sounds great on it, and I do hope it will do well, but it sounds too dated for me to really enjoy it.

I really like the song! It doesn't sound like a hit but I don't know nearly enough about country radio to determine that. I think it does sound a little dated but that was probably the intent and it definitely does sound like Together Again in the chorus. I would be happy if she got a top 20 out of this on country radio. Country soul works for me!

It's just not the splash onto the country scene I was hoping for, but I don't know what their long-term plans for her are there. If they're just going to toss a few singles over there once in a while because she has such strong country connections, this seems like it will fit in; if she's really looking to transition, I wanted her to kick that off with something stronger. This feels like a third or fourth single off a country album. It's pleasant, and she sounds great (and very country) on it, and I fully embrace this new lease on musical life she's adopted lately, but...it just doesn't come together to be anything exciting to me. And the key change is whack, and makes the song sound more dated than it should.
But there's so much country music that I don't like, so it's not a huge surprise. I feel like it will grow on me, just because it has this nice lilt to it that I've already picked up on in the second listen and like. It's not so much that I dislike it, it just doesn't seem strong enough to warrant a place on a GH album where there are so few spots for new material, and particularly since this is feels like what should be another big step in country music for her.

"Wishing every day was Sunday, you're right next to me" is insanely earwormy and so romantic. I'm a fan.

I love the key change but I always love key changes. I could listen to Beyonce's Love On Top a million times because of all the key changes. lol
I think the chorus is actually really catchy after repeated listens and has this great rhythm to it that grabs a hold of me. The only thing that might hold this back is how dated it sounds (and admittedly, the key change only makes that worse even if I happen to like it). I think radio will give it a shot but I don't see it shooting to the top. It would be nice if she got a top 20 as a solo artist. Hopefully soon they will find a killer country single for her, maybe something she can do between albums where she has time to promote it more. I doubt they plan on spending much time on this and country radio is all about who puts in the time and work because they love to let everyone take a turn at the top if they play by the rules.

Ugh, did they literally choose the worst picture from the photoshoot for the album cover? Look at her there, too!

I don't know if this was ever posted here, but Don't Rush was written by Blu Sanders, Natalie Hemby, and Lindsay Chapman. It's on ASCAP.

Yeah, the picture for this single is even better than the album cover. It really is baffling when you see all the other choices and the one they originally had on there to begin with.

o definitely like it better in HQ. I feel like it only makes a significant difference half the time at the absolute most, but this is one of those times, for me. idk.

I really like it! I was hoping for something a little more pop/country, but oh well. I'm glad this is more full on country actually, so country radio/fans will hopefully be more accepting of it.

I like it better in HQ. That picture is too photoshopped though. Face don't look real.

I like it better in HQ. That picture is too photoshopped though. Face don't look real. Honestly, the first thing that flashed unwillingly through my mind when I saw the picture was JonBenet Ramsey. But I love the conceit, with the bf's shirt thrown on over to let the dogs out or apply a little early morning blush pre-morning sex.

I like the song. It is kind of dated and doesn't really sound like a country song to me so I'm not sure how it would fare on country radio. It's an enjoyable track though. :)

AH! He wrote Music Again for Adam Lambert and that song is one of the best records of the the last 10 years, IMO. I would love to hear what he did for Kelly.

Anyone think this is the song she tweeted about to Jessie J, Gaga and P!nk?
