Last month, something shifted in me internally where I said to myself, "I don't anticipate these albums anymore". When they get release so be it. Gone are the days when I would check her socials and others to see if there are any updates. I thought to myself "if the album gets released and I stumbled upon the album on a streaming platform what kind of fan am I now". I even had a popular Monica website in the early 2000s. I will support her 110% still. I guess the delays just changed perspective for me. I also understand the personal stuff that had been happening behind the scenes for her, family and friends. I personally realize that I can't be the fan that I was in my early days.

I didn't realize that it's been 7.5 years since Code Red...Even with the shelving of All Eyez on Me, she was able to drop After the Storm only 5 years following The Boys In Mine. Social media has really changed how a lot of singers/musicians approach their careers, and I genuinely hate that.

The song is cute. Better than her last release; however, where’s the melody? I like the production. I see Ciara has a writing credit on this and could definitely see her singing something like this. Vocally, I always love it and it’s only interesting thing about it. Is Missy busy or Polo?
