Rico Love does not need to executive produce for Monica anymore. Her last album had too many generic tracks from him and co.

Harmony will be good but Missy and Rico Love NO! Although one of my favorite songs from this past album is from him lol.
MORE Polow and Harmony less Rico and Missy sorry.
They should also add Oak.

she needs to totally reinvent herself, her sound etc. Her last album sounded very "uninspired". I hope she can get it together because I don't think there will be to many more chances for her if she flops again.

I honestly think Monica is not here for the club jams like 'Put It Down'. Her strength is in her ballads, that's where her legacy is.

I am just bothered by Rico. He is washed.
Monica and Missy always make really great tracks. RIP to the majesty that would have been "Anything To Find You" if Ms. Wallace hadn't gotten involved.
I just think that no one involved with "New Life" was invested in the project. She could do really well if she can get the best out of the producers she's working with but I think for that to happen she has to be really invested in making a great album instead of just putting something out there like with New Life.

If Rico does not have a "4AM" for Mo then I am going to need him to seat this one out. Anyway, she should actually go in the style of Melanie Fiona's latest. It would be nice to see her work with Salaam Remi again. Hell she should get some pop producers to do some urban tracks with her.

My thing with Rico Love that I can take him in small doses. A couple of songs, fine. A whole album of "turn the lights on", hell no. His sound is being ride on too often from artists and he isn't switching it up enough to keep it fresh. He wants to rehash his sound with these artists which I wonder why these artists aren't questioning him with this foolery but that's with any "of the moment" producer. I just want another upcoming urban producer to have his or her spotlight because it's time to change Mr. Love's bulb, just quite too dark in here for this mess.

While I don't think anyone should expect peppy club records from Monica, Peter is going to focus on making sure that the new music is contemporary urban-friendly. NL taught them she is not a strictly UAC artist (yet). |

"Daddy's Good Girl" was the best song on "New Life" imo. It's the only track from the album that's still on heavy rotation for me.
That said, these crop of producers are boring. She should switch it up a bit, and also do another season of her reality show.
