I re-arranged the top 11 as it gave a weird result that I didn't really care for..

#1 songs that missed the Top 50.
None. Back when I was living though this year, I made sure that every song I LOVED went #1 on my chart, so very few of my big faves were blocked. I mean, it's the same kind of methodology I've always used (giving all my faves equal opportunities at #1), but 2010 took it to a whole nother level. I think I was really into a lot of pop songs back then.

Week Ending Oct 26/ 2012
Chart # 200 194

I was ready to say WOOT 200 charts. But then I realized... no not really since 6 of them were made up. So starting with Feb 20/ 2009, there's been 194 charts, but then that also messes up the number of #1 songs. I technically didn't have a chart for the first 6 weeks of 2009, so those previous #1's I decided on 3.5 years ago really shouldn't count. Sooooooo Try isn't the 125th #1, it's the 120th. These changes will be reflected from here on out. And chart #200 will be on Dec 7, 2012. Maybe I should do an all-time list of the first 200 weeks? Hmm.



ANYWAY, Onto this week's chart:

P!nk holds on for a second week. Rihanna moves an inch closer to the top spot but the question is will she make it all the way? Will the music video make me love the song more? Wait and see.

Icona Pop stays wedged in between the two. I keep hearing it in an ad for a Halloween movie or something.

Turn Around jumps into the top 5 and matches the peak of Can't Say No. But will it beat it? Vegas Girl didn't chart as I didn't really get into the song until I downloaded the album 2 weeks ago or so.

Ellie re-enters at #6. I bought her album and listened to it for the first time this week. I don't know if the music video version of the song is different or something, but the song sounds amazing on the album version. Please tell me I'm not hearing things

Sweet Nothing slips to #7. I like the song but Spectrum >>>>>>>

Flo Rida matches his #8 peak for I Cry.

Little Mix's second single (well third including their X-Factor coronation song) debuts at #12. I usually take forever to listen to new UK releases since they take forever to release them so I don't usually remember them til they're on UK itunes, but I came across this last week and I like it. :)

Gangnam Style looks to be on the way out. I've pretty much lost hope of this ever going #1 in the US unless he pulls an S&M.

Tegan & Sara debut at #16 with their latest. Still wish I had charted Feel It In My Bones. That song was so good.

And just like that, Little Mix have beaten their #4 peak for Wings, and become the new #1, with their second single "D.N.A." (or third counting Cannonball). I believe the video came out this week, and it's freaky, lol. Totally pulling for it to block Bruno in the UK next week, but knowing how big Grenade and JTWYA were, I'm doubtful. And yay their album is out on the 19th. //totally stanning right now.

Ok. moving on. Forgetting to debut I Knew You Were Trouble for a couple weeks, it enters straight at #2. And she looks to be in a tough battle with the Mixers for the top spot for the next couple of weeks.

Conor gets pushed back to #3, despite still standing strong in the upper reaches of my chart. Unfortunately, all this new action makes P!nk slide back to #4 after 3 weeks ontop. However "Try" should make a nice placing on the year end chart coming out 1.5 months. Only 7 more charts to go! Rihanna's "Diamonds" and Ellie Goulding's "Anything Could Happen" also fall victim to the new action at the top.

ANYWAY, making new waves are two Canadian female groups / duos that I've been getting into lately - Tegan & Sara up to #6 and Dragonette entering the top 10. After taking like 2 months to grow on me, "Battle Scars" finally enters. Better late than never. I actually really like this song now. :) Also debuting at the very bottom is another CanCon act: Anjulie's latest (produced by Benny Benassi). It's nice. We'll see where it goes. :)

Meanwhile, Die Young and I Cry look to be running out of steam (Ke$ha's video was NO help), and probably won't last much longer. I'm ready for single #2 (and the album ofc) from K$.

With the new Little Mix avatar and signature, it should be no surprise that DNA holds at #1 for a second week. They also block Taylor from the top spot for another week. Next week looks to be a close battle between the two. Girls Aloud debuts right in at #3, but will have a tough time getting past TayTay and the Mixers.

The two Canadian duo / groups Tegan & Sara and Dragonette continue to rise. Meanwhile, Conor and Rihanna are pretty much done. Three new debuts in the lower half of the chart this week from Sub Focus, Bruno Mars and Of Monsters & Men. How high will they go though?
