A #1 Mainstream Rock hit from the soundtrack to "The Color Of Money". For some reason, this song was nowhere to be found on the Hot 100 or the R&R CHR chart

Was this ever released as a single? I remember it charting on the M-TV top 20 video countdown, and I just heard it on the radio a few weeks ago. One of Clapton's best from late 1986.

Not that I'm aware of. I don't think any of Clapton's August singles (Tearin' Us Apart, Run, Miss You) got commercial releases despite their pop sound. That said, I don't see any showings on the airplay-only charts for them either.

Love this song. Billboard shows the catalogue number for this single as Warner Bros. / Duck 7-28514, so it looks like it did get a commercial U.S. release. As far as I can tell, the only version for purchase was a 7" single b/w "Grand Illusion".

This should have been a Billboard Hot 100 hit!

I like it, it's catchy. The August album has a bunch of good songs... "It's In The Way That You Use It," "Hung Up On Your Love," "Run," "Walk Away"... the duet with Tina Turner is so fun too!
