LET'S GET CREATIVE: Can you think of some music artists/groups of the past and present (living or dead) who you wish should have made Christmas albums during their careers?
Here's a couple I can think of: Andy Gibb Bobby Vinton Selena The Beatles Shaun Cassidy Leif Garrett The Bee Gees Billy Joel Freddy Fender Eddie Rabbitt Chuck Mangione Madonna Weird Al Yankovic Bill Cosby Leo Sayer Petulia Clark Barry White KISS Paul Hardcastle Juice Newton Dusty Springfield Neil Young Elvis Costello Tracy Chapman The Heights TV cast (if their 1992 show on FOX never was cancelled after a few months during the 1 season it was on)

That's more than a couple. :)
I don't really long for anyone who hasn't made a holiday album, to make one now. It's a kinda "cheesy" project to take on- not that I don't enjoy holiday music, of course.
I think every major act, though, has at least recorded holiday music, whether it be a one-off track or a full album.

I am mostly dealing with full albums, not one off tracks on Christmas complimation albums/CD's.

Britney could've easily made one for the 2000 holiday season. JIVE probably just wanted "Oops!" to reach Diamond instead.

Interesting I'd go with Madonna (Santa Baby is fun!), Queen (something more operatic/rock than Thank god it's Christmas) and Abba (songs ala Super trouper with lots of harmonies).

I would be shocked if Kelly didn't have one in the next two years. I'd also be shocked if Syco/Simon didn't squeeze one out of 1D before they break up.

Patsy Cline, Shania Twain and Carrie Underwood.
Shania recently said that she will work on a Christmas record next year, and I hope it actually happens. I heard she had one planned to be released in 2000, but it got cancelled.
Carrie has a few Christmas songs, but I'm hoping she puts out a full Christmas album one day.

Madonna will never release a Christmas album, so that's out.
I'll go with Britney. I'm sure One Direction will do one next year.

Too bad American Idol winner Lee DeWyze didn't do a Christmas CD, though I wish he did.

Apparently Britney actually started recording a Christmas album back in '04. I remember a reporter from Billboard writing that he heard a few of the tracks and that they were "promising." Too bad she never finished it.
Anyway...
Lana Del Rey will make a Christmas record in the future. >:(

I don't need a whole album. I just need to hear Adele do one song.

If Adele had recorded a Christmas album this year, it probably would've sold 4 million before years end.
Ahh well.

How about a Christmas CD with the cast of the CBS TV sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" singing Christmas songs in a science leaning parody form?

Not gonna lie, I hope Mariah does a third Christmas album at some point. She has a gift for it.

Kelly Clarkson, for sure. I'd also like one from Shania Twain at some point. Reba McEntire is also due for a new one of standards, hopefully.

Carrie Underwood. She has a really strong Christian background, so please make at least one Christmas album.
Britney Spears.

The Commodores could have made a Christmas album, even if you count "Jesus is Love" as Christmas leaning.

It's never gonna happen, but I'd die for a Christmas album from the Dixie Chicks... THIS pretty much. And I count Carrie's little EP from the Carnival Ride era (...I think?) of Christmas songs as a Xmas project. Even though it was a short collection of songs, I thought we got a through preview of what a full blown project might sound like and I wasn't impressed

I would personally like Madonna to tackle a Christmas album, i know most of the Christmas staples require challenging vocals but i think she would have a different take on them, i really enjoyed her child like frivolous take on Santa baby.

Sara Evans and Rascal Flatts both have EPs, too. He actually has two full Christmas albums- Bethlehem released in 1998, and I'll Be Home For Christmas from 2008. Bethlehem is great, it's more R&B and urban, while what little I've heard of IBHFC is more AC-sounding. He has a duet with Vince Gill on the latter that I play a lot around the holidays. The Commodores could have made a Christmas album, even if you count "Jesus is Love" as Christmas leaning. Released in 1992. It's not bad. Their version of "Angels We Have Heard On High" gets decent AC radio airplay.

Speaking of Beyonce: Was there a Destiny's Child Christmas CD released back in 2000?
