Meh.
It's an enjoyable song, don't get me wrong, but it's definitely not among the standout songs remaining on the album that could have been released ("Wide Awake," "Journey of Your Life," "Heaven").
Though I suppose I should be happy it's not "Feelin' No Pain" or "Apple Pie Moonshine."

Oh, boy.
I like the song well enough, but it's no "Heaven" or "Journey of Your Life" (still putting the latter on my playlist this summer). Those two songs right there show a different side of Jake imo and could possibly create more buzz about him as an artist rather than some "faceless" rising country star releasing radio-friendly singles (not my words, btw).
It should be at least a top 10 for him, but I'm worried about the critical response this would get as a single choice (thus, the "oh, boy" comment starting this off).

I like this enough. RIP, "Heaven."

This song is just " there" for me. I would've went with "settin the world on fire" but this could possibly do well. In my gut though this isn't really screaming big hit and with it being a fourth single from an album that's coming up on being two years old i can't really see it selling anymore albums.

I actually liked "Apple Pie Moonshine" . I agree "Journey of Your Life" was the standout track on the album though. I was hoping that would get green lighted as a single at some point. I'll have to listen to this again tonight. I only vaguely remember this track.

It's an enjoyable song - I'd just put it in the "throwaway" pile, along with what's being released.

In my gut though this isn't really screaming big hit and with it being a fourth single from an album that's coming up on being two years old i can't really see it selling anymore albums. I agree--I wanted "Settin' The World On Fire" too. But I actually think "Anywhere With You" could be another pretty big hit. Sure, it's not gonna score him any points with the critics but hey, he's right there with Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, and Luke Bryan then! ;) And honestly, out of the remaining tracks on the album, this does sound like a radio hit. Again, I don't think it's the best song but I think it might be the best fit for radio, simply because of how catchy it is. I agree that since it is the album's 4th single (and commercially, Jake isn't on the same level of Jason, Luke, or even Blake), it might not have as much success as his past 3 hits have had, but I think it has the best chance of the remaining tracks, an even better chance than my personal favorite, STWOF. Worst case scenario, I can see this being a hit with a chart run comparable to that of Dierks' "Tip It On Back" so far, or at the top of the spectrum, Eric's "Creepin'". But maybe things roll right and it's able to hit #1. You know this would've been an easy #1 if it was the 1st or 2nd release from the album (but, of course, I'm glad they picked the singles they did so far, especially BBJN and TOTGA).

Ooh, I forgot about "Setting...," I would have been happy with that.
I would have actually been happier had they released AWY 3rd (TOTGA never did much for me) and "Setting" 4th. Or any of the aforementioned songs that I prefer. ;)

Wow, I really was expecting "Heaven" to get released next.
"Anywhere With You" is still a great song though, especially as we get into the spring. It's an awesome "feel good" and catchy type tune. Like I've said in the past, this album is loaded enough that basically anything (excluding "Pain") would make a solid single. "Wide Awake", "Settin' The World On Fire", "Heaven", "The Journey Of Your Life", ect... will live on as amazing album tracks.

I personally don't have a problem with this song, but I also don't see Jake having 4 straight #1's. Catchy, upbeat, and radio friendly... I'd be shocked if this missed the top 3.

Kenny Chesney and Jake Owen should tour together. It would be called the Somewhere With You/Anywhere With You tour.

^Jake did open for Kenny & Tim's Brothers Of The Sun Tour this past summer.
As for this one making the top 3, I don't know. Like I said, if it was the 1st or 2nd single from the album, then definitely it would've been top 3 if not #1. But things slow down later in the album cycle and Jake is not on the same level (yet) that other guys like Brad, Keith, Jason, Blake, etc. are. I wouldn't be totally surprised if this made the top 3 but again, right now I'm thinking a chart run somewhere between what Dierks has done so far with "Tip It On Back" and what Eric has done with "Creepin'".

I wouldn't have cared if this was 2nd single because it is catchy enough, but he needed "Heaven" released for a 2nd major hit (after BBJN). That would have sold well for a 4th single. I guess this one is good enough to be a hit, but I am not expecting a #1. A bit too generic compared to its competition for single 4.

On an album full of solid songs, this is just as good of a choice as anything. As joey2002 said, it's catchy, upbeat, and radio friendly. With it likely peaking just as summer rolls around, this should have no trouble making the top five.

I like this song alright, and I don't mind it being a single. But as a 4th single behind "The One That Got Away" doesn't make sense to me. I was never that big a fan of TOTGA (I much prefer this song) but when that got released (as I thought it would since it was originally supposed to be the 2nd single plus its the only song Jake wrote on the record, if I'm not mistaken) I counted Anywhere With You out of the picture because of how similar sounding it is with TOTGA. I would have thought "Heaven" or "Journey" would be the 4th single... or maybe even "Wide Awake" or "Settin' the World on Fire" which are at least a little bit different. I do agree however that at least "Nobody Feelin' No Pain" and "Apple Pie Moonshine" aren't being released. The rest of the album is solid, but those two tracks are just awful, in my opinion. I would have released the era as follows: 1. Barefoot Blue Jean Night 2. Alone With You 3. Anywhere With You 4. Heaven Although part of me doesn't like this being released as a single because it has the same initials as "Alone With You", plus the same last two words

Journey of Your Life is a good song but that thing is a ticket to nowhere on the charts

Journey of Your Life is a good song but that thing is a ticket to nowhere on the charts I disagree. That song or "Heaven" would've been big hits for Jake. Now for this song: Somehow this slipped past my radar. How the label didn't listen to Jake's wants to release "Journey" or "Heaven" is surprising to me at this point. Look at their single choices for the newer artists. Just weird. I guess they're going with the songs that radio will guarantee to like by choosing this. It's a decent enough song but, really? C'est la vie.

Well he had 3 good singles from this album they had to mess up one...I really don't mind this song but it's very much an album filler like Justin Moore's "'Til My Last Day". That song did well however and Jake has a lot more momentum so i fully expect this to hit big but they had two much better choices I don't get why they went with this.

He just played 'Heaven and said its one of his favorite songs ever and he "really, really, really wanted it to be the next song on the radio but they decided that it's not gonna be." Then he went right into Anywhere With You. He definitely wanted it over AWY

I just... I can't believe they went with this over some of the other songs on the record. Namely "Wide Awake" and "Heaven."
Oh well, I guess I should be happy that "The One that Got Away" was released. Still my favorite song from him.

I'm just shocked that the label wouldn't let him release it, especially since it's a fairly radio-friendly tune.

Shoot, if they're going slower than 'expected' they could've always pulled 'em for this anyway.

It's catchy, it's sweet and teenage girls everywhere would croon over it. It's one of if not the most obvious hit from the album.

I'll pretend that the picture at the top of the post didn't sway me... but it's hard to argue with a sure thing like this song. It's catchy, pushes all the right buttons, and will offend absolutely no one. Why wouldn't that be the obvious next single? Maybe they want him to have one more big hit before they take chances??

^More than likely this will be the last single from the BBJN album, though. I agree that "Heaven" could've been a big hit...I don't see that one as risky at all.
I'm sure it's just the people at Sony wanting to make sure Jake's hot streak on the radio stays...well, as hot as possible, because he could really be set up nicely for his next album and have a lot of momentum going into it. All of his hits from BBJN still get quite a bit of recurrent airplay so if his radio streak keeps going, maybe by the time we get to the 2nd or 3rd single from his next album, they'll release something a little 'riskier' and more original, something that "Anywhere With You" isn't (though I still like this song anyway).

Yeah the label is definitely setting him up to make the leap. Assuming this does well, he'll have four hits for BBJN, Dont think I can't love you, YeeHaw, and starting with me as the basis of his setlist. From what I've heard his new stuff is gonna be great - particularly a song called Love is like a Mixtape - but with him opening up for Aldean he's putting together a killer set to make the Luke Bryan leap in 2014.

Releasing "Journey Of Your Life" would be taking a chance, but "Heaven" would be a surefire top 5 song, with a decent chance at being another #1 hit.
