Just wondering why everything's bulletless on Mediabase.

Just wondering why everything's bulletless on Mediabase. I think so... or at least I hope so. Only a few artists: Brooks and Dunn, Kellie Coffey, Shania Twain, Dierks Bentley (new song), and James Otto had bullets.

The panel certainly did shrink. Now there are 115 stations. You now have to be in a Top 100 market to be on the panel (this is not true for CHR-Pop).

How many stations were there before? Maybe 154. Will the new San Francisco station be added to the panel soon? Probably they will require it to get more listeners first. You can look up the panel on All Access/Mediabase, you don't need to ask.

It seems that Country goes through more panel changes than other formats.
It's more important too, considering that their recurrent rule is based on spin trends.
This is a major change. I wonder what brought it about? Shouldn't they drop stations that play very little currents instead of dropping the smaller market ones?

Wow, yes this is a HUGE drop in the number of stations for the panel. Now the #1 song only gets about 4600 spins as opposed to the 6500 that Alan & Kimmy got earlier this year.

Looks like Billboard and RR charts will be different now, with sharply different panels for the first time in a while.

I wonder what brought it about? Shouldn't they drop stations that play very little currents instead of dropping the smaller market ones? There shouldn't be two set of rules for different formats. If one format requires stations to be in a top 100 market, then all formats should have to follow that requirement.

Both BB & R&R reduced their reporting panels partially because both magazines changed the minimum percentage of current music that a station had to play in order to remain a reporter. Some country stations were playing as little as 15% currents, while some were over 60%. I believe R&R's threshhold is now 35% current.
