Excellent! I originally preferred "Uncovered" to "Sitting," shockingly, though "Sitting" ultimately took over. Good song! |

NUMBER 38."Longer" Every morning and every night, do you smile to be polite, no way of knowing The second Innocent Eyes song on the countdown. It was also released as a b-side to "Born to Try" in the UK. "Longer" is a piano pop midtempo track, about Delta having a crush on a guy and wanting to spend more time with him in the hope that he'd be interested in her, basically. But despite the simple, cliché topic, the lyrics are once again very well-written. The second verse is my favorite, and I'm going to quote the whole thing because I can (and because it didn't fit above). "A moment had arrived, it was just the right time for conversation. And he asked me 'what do you do, what is your name, where are you from', but before long, we're at the station. And I was so frustrated, in fact devasated. I feel happy but sad, if only we had just a minute longer." The melody is also really awesome and catchy, and it's another track I get that sunny vibe from. I just love everything about this song. |
