From CMT.com:
Howard, Dean, Tennison Leave Labels After two albums and many glowing reviews, Rebecca Lynn Howard has left MCA Records. Roxie Dean and Chalee Tennison have likewise departed their label, DreamWorks. Last September, DreamWorks released Tennison's third album, Parading in the Rain, and it scheduled -- and rescheduled -- a rollout of Dean's debut CD, Everyday Girl. However, the only material that emerged from the doomed album was the title cut and its music video. Hot Talk also checked out the rumor that Capitol Records might be cutting Jennifer Hanson loose. Not so, says a label rep, who reports that Hanson is "working on new music," presumably for her second album.
According to the latest rosters, current MCA acts are Gary Allan, Vince Gill, Buck Howdy, Jedd Hughes, Reba McEntire, George Strait, Sugarland, Josh Turner, Lee Ann Womack and Trisha Yearwood. DreamWorks' revised lineup consists of Jessica Andrews, Tori Baxley, Dan Colehour, Emerson Drive, Scotty Emerick, Hanna-McEuen, Toby Keith, Tracy Lawrence, Danielle Peck, Michelle Poe, Jimmy Wayne and Darryl Worley.

Rebecca Lynn Howard got one hit and then didn't get any more promotion. Chalee Tennison flopped.

Aww, I love Chalee though... I don't think she's ever gotten the recognition she deserves... hopefully someone else will pick her up...

LOL! At first looking at the introductory line, I was thinking, "Howard Dean was a country artist?" LOL! What a coincidence with names!
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Poor Rebecca Lynn Howard. "What A Shame" was stellar. I called this though when I saw what was happening with "I Need A Vacation".

I love RLH's "I Need a Vacation." Didn't like "Forgive" at all... thought that would actually be a good single for her... hmm

Too bad for Rebecca. She made one of the female country songs ever... well, according to me and my brother.

Sonya Isaacs can now be added to this list: she's left Lyric Street after "No Regrets Yet" failed to be a hit. Too bad for her: I know she had a number of people in Nashville rooting for her (Reba and Vince Gill just to name a couple). I expect her to return though.
And an update on Rebecca Lynn Howard: she's been signed to Arista Records.

From CMT.com: Howard, Dean, Tennison Leave Labels After two albums and many glowing reviews, Rebecca Lynn Howard has left MCA Records. Amazing about RLH. Forgive was one of the great country records in a long, long time. Passionate, intense, great vocal. Top Ten all the way. Of course, the MCA management couldn't get it right from that point, turning their backs on the rest of that great album (for what reason?), and pushing her into making another album too quickly. What a totally depressing situation for Rebecca I'm sure. And the majors wonder why they're not doing well? SG

I am actually surprised that they threw in the towel with RLH
