Yeah, I'm just now hearing what's going on at 1:30- definitely reminiscent of "Like You'll Never See Me Again." It's so dreamy.

The piano parts with her angelic voice make me melt…and that climax with that amazing note at end! Production is pretty fresh as well. I feel all 2005 inside.

I wonder if they're going to send dance mixes to CHR/Pop, like they planned to do with "Triumphant". I can't really see this working as a dance song though. Also I think a remix with a younger act would help it at Urban. The rumor is that Trey Songz did a remix. I could hear Drake on it too, but I'd be surprised if he worked with her.

Drake would have been the perfect choice for the remix tbh.

I think the tempo would work perfectly for dance remixes. I'm thinking something like the Jump Smokers remix of "H.A.T.E. U", but more current. My dream come true would be a Kaskade or Cedric remix, but regardless of being pop friendly, any dance remix would be amazing.

This is perfection, even in LQ.
The hit potential depends on how organized the label and Mariah are. There's no reason why this shouldn't do well (I actually hear more CHR potential than urban) but then there wasn't any reason why #Beautiful shouldn't have done better either. The sense I've been getting from this whole era is that Mariah and IDJ are not on the same page, and JD's presence in general is just a mess, and that has resulted in a lot of misfires and bungled promo. But I've never been terribly concerned about the music itself, and this song just confirms my instincts.

This is definitely more urban leaning, but could have pop potential depending on the HQ (pop would really have to be feeling a need to break up the monotony to give this some serious play, but dropping this song around Valentine's Day doesn't hurt either). I feel there are many elements I am missing in the production because I am not hearing it HQ. I think we can judge its radio potential better with the HQ version.

This has Urban AC #1 written all over it, and if it doesn't go number 1 there, then you know radio hates her and is done with her.

I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised by the mostly positive reactions so far...
Hopefully the full & HQ version will be even better.

SLAYED.
I HAVE BEEN SLAYED.
Is the Youtube clip a live performance? Or is it some kind of listening party?
Edit:
Oh, I see it's the BET thing, but was it live? It sounds impeccable!

FLOORED. The ending/climax... Lord Jesus. When will this be on iTunes? I need to mark my calendar ASAP. Valentine's Day?

I have to say that I think whatever valentines day marketing they're planning behind this single is just dumb. It's not a love song. It, like most mariah ballads, is about heartbreak. Appropriate for the other 364 days in a year, but not V-Day.

I really like what I have heard. The HQ is gonna be dope! I know its only a LQ clip so far, but I'm not hearing anything that couldn't have a universal appeal. Sounds very multi-format playable.

I agree! This is MARIAH CAREY!! If anyone can smash on all formats its her. There is no singer out that can sing like she still does.

She KILLEDT took me back to the 90's and its going to be a very #Obnoxious few weeks for others as Coco is back stanning for Mimi at levels not seen in decades. When Mariah gives me a melody that is undeniable and filthy that sticks with you from the first moment there is very little things in life that affects me as deeply. Cracking open a bottle of wine we gonna celebrate a #fabulous song. We deserve it, she needed it, I needed it, it gave me new life. I made it known to Mimi on twitter how I feel to encourage further growth and development. Coco Jarkata in her living room for 3 straight hours now.

This sounds SO good. In the best way possible, it reminds me of WBT mixed with Promise mixed with Your Girl and LYNSMA.
Hopefully Urban and Urban AC eat this up and they have some kind of game plan for at least some pop spins.

It's not like pop radio will give the single no spins. New Mimi, tied to a firm album release date, would generate some level of spins.
It's a nice-sounding track- a mix of past Mimi tracks. I get vibes of WBT/ISIL and some others. Well-suited for Urban AC and to a lesser extent, mainstream urban. As some have said, that probably should be the format she goes for, based on what she enjoys and the music she likes making most.

Ugh. And THAT'S why she's queen. <3
Did the damn thing. Hooked already.
"You're Mine" coupled with "#Beautiful" shows she's hitting a new stride artistically. If the rest of the album is as good....lord....
