Fans are speculating it's because Mariah has been paying to keep the site up and running since it really functions as her main website (her official one is hardly ever updated), and she and her team have really been micromanaging what gets posted. There were several times in the past year that they had to remove a post (usually ones with paparazzi shots of her). So it's possible either the people who run the site got sick and tired of it, or Mariah and her team pulled the plug and stopped funding them. |

I have to say that I think whatever valentines day marketing they're planning behind this single is just dumb. It's not a love song. It, like most mariah ballads, is about heartbreak. Appropriate for the other 364 days in a year, but not V-Day. Gotta keep in mind not all of us in love, valentines can be a day to reminisce bout past loves, heartbreak. Mimi is always thinking about the forgotten one on the holidays. f**k love. |

Just to gossip, anyone know the real reason why MDJ is shutting down? Fans are speculating it's because Mariah has been paying to keep the site up and running since it really functions as her main website (her official one is hardly ever updated), and she and her team have really been micromanaging what gets posted. There were several times in the past year that they had to remove a post (usually ones with paparazzi shots of her). So it's possible either the people who run the site got sick and tired of it, or Mariah and her team pulled the plug and stopped funding them. Or JD wants to funnel it into Global Grind. |

Doesn't really make sense unless she didn't want that anywhere else but her own Instagram page. I understand when she would make them take down unflattering paparazzi shots, although I can see how that would get annoying. Mariah Daily used to post just about every bit of Mariah news out there. Then it turned more into a site where everything had to be Mariah approved.
Fans have also said that Mariah reeled Liron in too and made her stop posting on FOMM.

This seems to be getting a fairly good reaction. It serves her well to stick to doing what she does best and give people those classic MC moments and not trend chase like some other older female singers have done. Nobody wants that from Mariah at this point. I'm glad she never gave into the whole EDM craze. Reminds me of how Aretha outright refused to record disco music in the late 70s even though her peers were all doing it.
