Yes it is, especially when the single art for "Sweetheart" is there, not to mention "I Still Believe" ("When You Believe," I'll give a pass, as it was a special thing). I think what she was doing was posting the art for all of the singles, not just the #1s...but I just CAN'T at leaving out LTT and "Someday."

Oh, yeah, that would be fine if all the art was there. But for an album called #1s, to not include the single art for two of them... mess.
Remember the other #1s collage, that only showed the bottom of LTT and less of "Someday" than the rest? She's probably instructing whoever does the collages to do that. Mimi, they're as much Numba 1s as the others.

Why was "Where Are You Christmas" so high though? It always sells decently. It won't be that high once holiday sales really kick in, but that track has endured pretty well. I keep waiting for another good version of it.

For those who may not have seen the movie or heard it, this is the original (shorter) version , "Christmas, Why Can't I Find You," that appears in the movie. I gather that Mimi was asked to come in and write additional lyrics. (And then, I think the story goes that Tommy M. wouldn't "let" her record it?) Wow. There is a lot different. The Mariah co-write version has a longer 1st verse, a different end to the 2nd verse, a bridge, etc.

I wonder why "Someday" and "Love Takes Time" would be left off the poster but "I Don't Wanna Cry" wasn't? I thought Mariah hated "I Don't Wanna Cry."

Well, sure, jeng- hence, Mimi adding more lyrics. :)
Mimi's "issue" with "I Don't Wanna Cry" stemmed more from the video, didn't it? I just don't get it- "Vision of Love" was more polished in its production than she would have liked (according to her), yet she still sings it often. Why the other debut singles don't get more attention from her is beyond me. As we've talked about, if she doesn't like the sound, she could change the arrangement for live performances. She sang some of LTT last year, so I thought that was a step toward reconnecting with the oldies-but-goodies.

She sang some of LTT last year, so I thought that was a step toward reconnecting with the oldies-but-goodies. "Vision of Love" was something she wrote prior to recording her debut. Both "Love Takes Time" and "I Don't Wanna Cry" were written after, and the latter in particular was something she felt she didn't have a lot of creative control over. I'd need to look up "Someday" to see where it falls, but my point is I think Mariah holds "VOL" closer because it feels like her song to her. Plus, it was hugely influential to other female vocalists, so it's a song she needs to keep around in reminding people of her legacy. As much as I love "Someday," Mariah not acknowledging it doesn't matter either way to her career.

I do love the number #1s poster, it is her best album! even though its a comp album, its her best! ughhhh she continues to give the finger to SOMEDAY! I cant stand it! when is she going to realize that song is far and away a fan favorite??? not to mention... I think someday was really the song/video that made Mariah a superstar. it was the first video I think MTV really really took too. if she doesn't like the arrangement then change it up! she is an amazing producer and I would love to see what she would do different with that song now. Someday will forever be my favorite Mariah song!!!

IIRC, Someday was in the demo tape she handed to Tommy as well.

Does Mariah have to love everything she ever wrote? She wrote these songs when she was a teenager. She's in her mid-40s now. Tastes change.

I mean I know she wrote SOMEDAY when she was a teenager and im sure her taste of changed. I just wish Mariah would give in sometimes and give her fans (or at least some of us fans) what we want. I would love to go see Mariah in concert but only if she really dived into her back cataloge (sp) of hits. Its like Madonna and the song Cherish. Madonna has bashed that song and it bothers me just the same way when Mariah bashes Someday. both songs were huge smashes... so it feels like a slap in the face to the fans who helped make those songs hits. Someday really helped Mariah by saying "hey I don't do just ballads". I hope one day Mariah revisits the song.

Poster for #1s! OMG I love it! It was my first 'real' Mariah era! I'll always have a place in me heart for #1s! YES! I played the #1s album out when it was first released.

The sky will stay blue regardless of your opinions incase you haven't noticed Mariah performs whatever she likes. If she aint listening to the old men who pay her she aint listening to y'all. She is about to go to record label 4 because she does what she wants. I've always wanted a live performance of The Roof but I know better than to tell a diva what to do.

She doesn't have to love every song, but I've always questioned her ignoring LTT, when she still sings/writs songs of a similar vein.

Didn't she recently do an impromptu performance of "Love Takes Time"?

Oh... #1s was the first MC album I bought-and I did it quickly after it was available back home in Peru. It also gave me the excuse to chart songs from her debut album that hadn't made it to my personal chart. With this 'era' she became one of the top 5 female acts in my chart at that time :) sweetheart reached top 10 and WYB stayed on top for two weeks

Didn't she recently do an impromptu performance of "Love Takes Time"? She did. The gerls want to overlook it cause it puts other talent-limited gerls to shame.

Yep, the abridged performance of LTT was much welcomed. It had been way too long.

The LTT/CLG performance also got a great crowd reaction. I'd love if she changed up her sets more often so that overlooked gems like those songs could be performed.
To her credit, she did perform "Looking In" and "Underneath the Stars" recently, so I hope she continues to delve in her catalog and perform lesser-known hits/album cuts.

When I was at the concert and she introduced Looking In and sang it, I almost passed out, literally.

I'm still holding out hope for "The Wind" or at least "Never Forget You".

I would prefer for her to perform songs that were actually HUGE hits that she doesn't perform. I would love to hear some new arrrangment of the older hits.

I really hope Mariah can at least give me one last amazing uptempo. She lately seems stuck in midtempo and ballad land. I miss her uptempos.

The concert, as short as it was, was pretty spectacular. I got to see Mariah in slings, the orchestra was great, and she sounded pretty solid. It was weird hearing the remix of #beautiful with an orchestra, though.

I felt that proverbial tingle up my spine! OMG!! Mariah the lambs want this!!! The lambs know your catalog INSIDE and OUT! Screw the general public! I just want ONE concert only for the fans and I want the setlist to look like this: 01. Prisoner 02. Long Ago 03. Never Forget You 04. Circles 05. Trilogy - My All/After Tonight/I Only Wanted 06. Trilogy - Underneath The Stars/The Roof/Crybaby 07. Thanx 4 Nothin/Side Effects 08. More Than Just Friends 09. For The Record 10. Melt Away 11. Alone In Love/Love Takes Time 12. Stay The Night ENCORE: 13. Emotions 14. Vanishing
