This is an instant impact at Number 64 with 63 spins. Mediabase says 2004 so is it a first single from an upcoming album?

This is the first single from Joe's second album. I don't really see it doing all that well. It's too slow, and too preachy even for country radio. I don't like it at all.

How can a song be too preachy for a format that had a Christian Number 1, "Three Wooden Crosses"?

How can a song be too preachy for a format that had a Christian Number 1, "Three Wooden Crosses"? I don't consider "Three Wooden Crosses" to be preachy at all. To me, just because a song is a Christian song doesn't neccessarily make it preachy. The Nichols song, to me, seems to be lecturing the listener.

Just a small note. This is Joe's third album.

Did he make the chart with any songs from his first album? "Man With A Memory" started on the Heatseekers chart so his album before it didn't make the Top 100.

I was fortunate enough to meet Joe in 2000 when he was bartending at Alabama grill during the day and performing there at night, just him and his guitar player Brian.
We at the time knew if given an oppurtunity Joe would do great things. This song is just an example of that. Harley Allen (also wrote The Little Girl) is one of the best songwriters in Nashville and it's nice to see a newer star get a song from a veteran songwriter.
I hope this song flies up the charts!

If this isn't the best country CD of the year, alongside Rachel Proctor & Tim McGraw, it's way up there, IMHO.
