I do too! I find it a refreshing change from most of the other songs right now in the top 40.

I like this a lot actually. Hopefully it'll break through to the Top 10.

I imagine it will peak around #15. She is good artist that is being overlooked IMHO.

I love this. I've only heard it a little bit so far on radio. It deserves tons more spins. Compare this to unoriginal stuff like Buffet's song. Yet which song has been enjoying a rocket rise up the charts? Country radio needs a whacking with the clue stick.

Now that Me & Emily is in free-fall :( does anyone know what her next single is? I've got her CMT listening party going in the background ( www.cmt.com/artists/az/proctor_rachel/353714/album.jhtml ), and I'm enjoying what I"ve heard so far. The first song on her new CD that was released on 8/10 seems particularly radio-friendly. It's called "Days Like This" (the name of both the CD and the first track).

"Days Like This" was already a single, and didn't fair too well.
My radio station did a test run of the title track, "Where I Belong" yesterday, and he said it was the next single (this DJ is also the MD, so I tend to trust him).
It's an OK song, a bit slow, but has a good message.

"Days Like This" was already a single, and didn't fair too well. . Wow, I didn't know that. I assumed Me & Emily was the lead-off single for the CD. Thanks for the info. The fact that it didn't do well shouldn't surprise me. My tastes seem to run counter to what the good ol' boys running country radio decide what's a hit or not, these days.

"Me And Emily" is actually the CD's third single. "Days Like This" was first, followed by "Didn't I" (which barely made the top 50). "Where I Belong" has been announced as the fourth single, and it goes for adds in a couple of weeks.

Record labels these days do not want to release a Cd unless they have a hit single. So they wait and keep releasing singles until either
A. They get a hit or B. They drop the artist
Artists that have been dropped because of failing singles include Kellie Coffey (who had two singles from her forthcoming CD fail) and Ryan Tyler. BNA must have had faith in Rachel or else she'd have probably been gone after "Didn't I"

Days Like This was a multi week number one on my personal chart last year and was in the top 10 year end. I never heard the second single. I love Me & Emily. It will be a multi week number one on my charts soon. I hope to pick up the album this weekend.

Great song! I'm not too familiar with Rachel Proctor, but I know "Me and Emily" is a refreshing track which isn't getting the attention it deserves.

Entertainment Weekly just reviewed the CD and called her the Martina for generation Y. The only song they listed specifically was "Me and Emily" and how refreshing it is. I don't love it personally, but it's ok. They gave the CD a 'B' and for EW to like anything country is pretty good...

This is the best debut CD I've heard in at least three years, and the first three singles (Days Like These/Didn't I/Me & Emily) are all exceptional.
I'm really sorry that the first two didn't go anywhere, and 'Me & Emily' should have been an easy top-ten single, IMHO.
This gal can sing and write some great songs, including Martina's top-five smash, 'Where Would You Be?'
Here's to a long and distinguished country music career.

I goofed--'Days Like This' hit R&Rs top 20 in September of last year; it fell from #19 to #21 in the 10-3-03 issue, when 'Real Good Man' replaced 'It's Five O'Clock Somewhere' at #1.
