2 highly anticipated albums were moved to 2005: Jo Dee Messina -Delicious Suprise/ Delicious with Pie After being dumped in 2003 b/c the label didn't like it, it has been pushed back again. Faith Hill -TBA Rumor has it Warner Bro. is making Faith do some tracks over. Regardless, it has been pushed back to 05, when the date was supposed to be 2004. I hate when labels do this.

I'm disappointed about Faith - I was looking forward to some new music from her. And I feel bad for Jo Dee - at this point, it wouldn't surprise me if her album never comes out and she splits with Curb. Wasn't it supposed to be released in the Fall of 2002??

Yep and it was ditched in favor of a GH, of course a label decision.

Curb is the most notoriously jerky label. If they are not happy, they change things. They do what they want. They've done it to Tim, LeAnn and now Jo Dee.
At this point, if it lasts any longer, Jo Dee's career may be hard to revive.
As for Faith, I really hope this album is awesome. I want her to come back and have the biggest hit of her career. I want it back to how it was.
I want Faith to be reigning again.

At this point, if it lasts any longer, Jo Dee's career may be hard to revive. Didn't they release a GH for Tim when he didn't want that? Poor JoDee, she worked several years to make the album and now it is starting to look like it will never be released. Maybe she didn't want to do all the alterations to it that Curb wanted and that's why it hasn't been released yet? Maybe Curb thinks it is not fitting the current trad country sound and wanted something different? I hope if they part ways that either JoDee can get the album with her (unlikely), or that Curb will release it after all, just to collect everything they can from it. (So the fans will get to hear the songs after waiting so long) This has happened to so many promising artists... I am still waiting for Eric Heatherley's next album

I wonder if Faith delayed her album because Tim has released his album in the fall. Maybe they didn't want to both be promoting their albums at the same time; it might be difficult taking care of the kids (not that they don't have help, but maybe they want at least one parent to be at home as much as possible).

I don't think it hurt them when Faith's "Cry" and Tim's "Tim McGraw and the Dancehall Doctors" were released at the same period of time. Faith didn't promote her album as much and didn't go on tour.

As I said in LeAnn's This Woman thread her cd was pushed back to Jan. 25. But this was LeAnn's decision not Curbs.

I think Curb and WB made smart decisions. Both albums would have been lost in the shuffle with a pre-Christmas release.

It'll be interesting to see if Faith makes the most Country-sounding album yet after her last album failed to catch on by her, in a way, selling out.

Considering that country radio's four biggest artists of the past decade (Tim, George, Alan & B&D) all have new CDs coming out within a very short time span, and with the softening economy, perhaps her label felt that a delayed release would mean much less competition.
