"Heart of Stone" was originally recorded by the band Bucks Fizz in 1988 and was covered by Cher the following year. It became the fourth and final single from the album of the same name in the US and peaked at #20 on the Hot 100. This is one of my favorite Cher songs.

Great song. This is one of my favourite Cher songs, from what is probably her most consistent album (out of the ones that I've heard in their entirety). I didn't realize that this was a cover, either.

Like Whitney Houston, Cher has recorded a number of covers, but she's made them her own. Interestingly, she first recorded "bang Bang," but it seems the Nancy Sinatra version (which came shortly after) gets more recognition.
This also is one of my favorite Cherilyn tracks.
