WOW even U's Pulse squad is failing him this time around. Dude doesn't even have his own threads in the Non-Singles section? The last song Usher truly made me pop and twerk my ass to was LITTLE FREAK feat Nicki Minaj; I was really hoping for a jam like that on this album : ( That's a jam but he's had soooo many better songs since then.

I'm pretty sure a 2016 Leona Lewis album could do more. Let's not get crazy here. We can call this an EP guys. The real album comes out later this year with better numbers, right? Sure, let's call this a 15 track EP. lol

He said on The Breakfast Club new music is coming soon. Does USHER even know he has an album out right now or is this ninja fucking with us all right now? Was the rest of the interview good? My tolerance level for Charlemagne ebbs and flows and right now is definitely an ebb kind of mood.

I almost never watch those interview but I read highlights on a hip hop blog.

He should've released this album with 9-10 of the best songs and a different cover....

Disappointing sales prediction indeed. I wonder why they decided to go with the hip-hop leaning singles as the first singles. I would have preferred that they start with "Missin U" followed by "Tell Me" with a music video that can go viral or something. I totally get that they want to stray away from pop/dance leaning stuff but why not focus on his strongest area which is soulful/sensual R&B?

My tolerance level for Charlemagne ebbs and flows and right now is definitely an ebb kind of mood. The interview was ok. Charlemagne wasn't as irritating as he usually is. As far as the new music, he was referring to the numerous leftover tracks he'd recorded while making the album. He said that he may drop em here and there as Tidal exclusives or something. Nothing about a new album though.

He deserves the sales he's receiving. This album sounds like a bunch of Future and Chris Brown songs.
PASS!

I could see "Rivals" working better as a lead off than "No Limit" and "Crash". I honestly think those two singles did him in. "No Limit" would have been ok as a fourth or fifth single, but not first despite its success currently. It is too desperate of a hit single for him. At least with "Rivals", it feels like Usher even with the Future's influence within the track. Future could easily be tacked off the song and Usher will definitely still shine. It is not like Tamar Braxton "Let Me Know" where Future is needed to be interesting as a song. I feel Usher honestly shines on "Rivals".
Anyway, I think "Bump" should be pushed because it has such a great bounce to it. I think urban would love it because it is different due to it old school vibe it has.

But Usher and Chris Brown have been creating the same sound for quite some time now. It is not a bad thing; however, Usher has vocals which has made his songs feel/sound better than Chris. No need to knock him because at this point, it feels Usher looks up to Chris to get him hits currently.

I don't think Usher has made "Chris Brown type of music"... Chris has always idolized Usher in a indirect way.
Run It models Yeah! Say Goodbye models Burn
Take You Down models Nice & Slow
They both started to make EDM music around the same time.
They are similar artists. Usher is superior due to his vocal ability and consistency but Chris is damn good himself.
I was going to say "No Bullshit" was better than anything Usher has put out recently, but I think "Tell Me" takes the cake.

I agree with all of this; however, this is when Chris first came out though. As of right now, we can say that Usher is following Chris' path in creating his sound/hits right now. I am not saying in a sense that Chris has not idolize which is so true;however, Usher's model in just being Usher has changed so much. Chris has always chased after a hit, while Usher was good with obtaining hits because his sound was always great, his artistic flows better than Chris, imo. Chris started his EDM music with "Forever". Wasn't Usher start with "OMG" I believe? Basically a year after Chris, right?

I could argue that "What's your Name" from Here I Stand was Ushers first attempt but I don't think it's a solid argument. I think Usher's biggest mistake in his career was his management choices. The map he chose to get to where he is now is not ideal. He should be practically a living legend (in the same mold as Beyoncé). Where are his Super Bowl appearances? His recongition for what he has done for R&B? I see no one in the general public realizing how great of an artist he STILL IS.

You can say "What's Your Name"; however, it wasn't a single and I literally speaking in regards of singles from Usher and Chris. Even still, that is a 2008 song while "Forever" was a 2007 single for Chris. I honestly agree with you about his management. I think he should have gotten a couple of SB appearances under his belt right now. Has he sang the National Anthem yet? I know once mama left the top manager, things really got to the sh!t for him. As right now, Usher needs to focus on making great R&B music. Hell even R.Kelly gets his shine as a legend and he has done some nonsense plus more music wise; however, he knows how to keep a balance out there. Usher has only shown the "chasing for a hit" method even though "Climax" really did set him on another level, but he did not take advantage of that and push for even more highlight moments like that as singles.

Ya'll do know he was a guest apart of the BEP SB appearance a few years back? In a justified world Usher would be the headliner and BEP would be the guest. Except they wouldn't be the guest

He deserves the sales he's receiving. This album sounds like a bunch of Future and Chris Brown songs. PASS! I respect your opinion. This will be the first Usher album since 2001 that I won't be buying. Thanks to Spotify coming around when it did. I like some songs, but I'm certainly not loving anything.

On a positive note, Tell Me is beyond. Maybe cause the rest of the album is kinda just there that that's the only song that really stands out for me.

Excuse me, but y'all ain't really going to clown on, Usher, are you? While you gladly accept, cheer on, and YASSS over subpar. Justin Bieber, and Justin Timberlake s**t. You're not going to do that right? Let's not pretend like less than stellar, Usher ain't better than what you hoist to the top of the charts, and get moist over. I'm sorry, but common sense is once again not a Pulse friend, or general music buyer. We respect legends we don't act like there isn't a peak/high, a level off, and then a eventual fall and we don't clown on legends where I'am from. That is natural, but what we ain't gonna do is demand more quality from him now, when we don't of others. That is like, stupid.
The fact that, Usher is suffering while these mediocre others are thriving is not just a reflection of the work itself, its a bad reflection on society, in general.
