Make that 10 weeks at #1 in R&R, thanks to some unprecedented weekly spin totals, and Lonestar's record was 8 weeks at #1 in R&R.
That single week when he had approximately 5375 spins, which is unheard of considering since the approximate 25% reduction in R&R's reporting panel eleven months ago. Nobody has cracked the 5,000 spins in a week threshold since that took place, and he had at least 4 straight weeks over 5,000 spins.
Nobody in 2003 cracked 7,200 spins per week last year, which is roughly what his staggering airplay numbers from last month would have projected before the reporting panel was slashed.
Still not sure he can catch AJ, and Toby will be the #1 singhles artist for the third straight year, but I wouldn't be surprised if Tim gets his title back in 2005.
Now that the newest issue of R&R has come out, I've noticed that Lonestar's 8-week stay at #1 exactly five years ago ended, as Kenny Chesney replaced them at #1 with 'You Had Me From Hello'.

This is his 21st #1 single, according to a special R&R did a few weeks commemorating his ten year anniversary.
It was also revealed that every single except one since 'Indian Outlaw' has made the top five, which is unbelievable.
'Some Things Never Change' peaked at #7; that was his only top five miss of the past decade---WOW!!!!
His 'Everywhere' CD spawned FIVE #1 singles and one #2 single (For A Little While); nobody has matched that accomplishment either.

The only question remaining is can he catch 'Remember When' and wind up #1 for the year in R&R?
