Good lord, they are overreacting. There are millions of hits on that album and they chose wrong with the incredibly underwhelming "C'Mon." Were they really throwing all their eggs into one basket with "C'Mon"? I mean, seriously?
She just needs good promo for "Thinking of You" or "Crazy Kids." Those are certified smashes. They're acting like this an U.sher album or something.

Whatthe actual f**k?! Seriously? It seems that RCA only manages to not completely crumble when everything is fine and dandy (like w/ Pink's current album campaign) but seem to have no idea how handle matters when they actually have to salvage a project.
Warrior is a great album and I do want it to be more of a success but on the flip side, I don't want RCA to possibly pull these types of stunts in the future. Since it seems that this is actually happening, I do hope for the best and hopefully this can help out the era.

UPDATE: I received a second email encouraging radio PD's to free up airtime to premiere this song on April 13th at 6:15 AM PST. I'm guessing the version Codex heard was a non-final mix, probably. This is from a separate mailing list, so I think I'm okay to post. I transcribed an excerpt from the image.

Well. I must say that the sample sounds interesting, at least? I'm not a huge fan of "Get Up (Rattle)", but it was a huge hit internationally, and while it is very generic, it's also reasonably different to Ke$ha's singles thus far. I'm starting to feel a bit more confident about this song's potential after hearing that – it's surely got to be better than the demo at least. Here's "Get Up (Rattle)" for anyone who hasn't heard it: Also, Warrior Recharged? Awfully boring title.

Codex and whoever is posting the iTunes updates are just messing around for April Fool's. The final version isn't out let.
ETA: they've released a 30 second clip to those on the mailing list, so that could leak. They updated the production quite a bit. It's kind of gritty (think 'Supernatural') but also has a few more "real drums" added. Kinda like 'Die Young'.

I am really excited about this! After listening to Warrior again, there clearly weren't anymore hits left on it. Glad they're going with this instead. Slizzard, you should totally upload the clip to YouTube or something.

Why would a professional organization refer to me as Slizzard? Honestly, that remix sounds better than "Doing Shots" though. Hence why I said it was oddly specific. Also they just sent me another memo saying they are going to terminate this board due to your announcement. Good job Slizzard. They were even considering featuring Kurt on a Smooth Jazz remix of it before you spoiled things. :'( |

I'm not leaking the clip either, but it should be posted later tonight; those things always leak. Either way, the song is being sent to radio tomorrow for test spins, so it should be out in full then (HQ or otherwise). So excited.
