I thought there was a thread for this, but I guess not.
One of the greatest jazz recordings ever. From the 1959 album Time Out. It's especially significant for its unusual use of the 5/4 time signature and the mainstream significance it achieved, peaking at #25 on the Hot 100.

Are you talking about the album cut, or the single? I remember this from September 1961. I re-labeled this as a '60's record, assuming this is about the single.

It was originally released in 1959. It became a hit when it was re-released in 1961.

What a remarkable percussionist! Morello has an extraordinary understanding of nearly every drum component and technique in existence. And what a wonderful way of implementing triplets, and buzz rolls!

It's especially significant for its unusual use of the 5/4 time signature! 5/4 fill, phenomenal!
