Lonestar will be performing the second single from "Let's Be Us Again" June 18th(?) on Days Of Our Lives. They will also appear on Good Morning America on June 4th. The song is uptempo and has a Jimmy Buffett/Kenny Chesney influence. It even makes a reference to parrotheads. Lonestar "T.G.I.F." (audio clip):) EDIT: Title changed to reflect second single release

I heard this on Good Morning America and it was pretty catchy! Only the chorus to this song stuck in my head after all their performances.

Looks like this won't be the second single after all - "Mr. Mom" is now up at AllAccess.

Mr. Mom is enjoyable... It has a bright Mayberry-ish feel. I like this better than their last single. A fun tune, and summer's the perfect time for it.

I don't know how I feel about this song. Some parts are really good, and other parts are definitely not.

Any idea if TGIF will be a future release?

Finally heard "Mr. Mom" and wish I hadn't. This is just corny and bad.

A little cheesy, yes, but it's now looking to replace Phil Vassar at #1. If so, it'll be the group's 10th song to go to #1 on either BB or R&R. It may or may not this upcoming week, but it should within 2 weeks, provided Brooks and Dunn don't play leapfrog before then.

I hope it is Lonestar who gets to #1 before Brooks and Dunn. This is the first Lonestar song in a while that I actually enjoy!

Lonestar will still be #2 on Billboard this week...
4397 spins, +438
They trailed Phil Vassar by only 123 spins, and his bullet was just +73, so as folks have mentioned here, it's very likely Lonestar will take over #1 next week.
#3 Brooks & Dunn were 98 spins behind Lonestar, with a +167 bullet. Unless Lonestar slows down a whole lot I don't think B&D can do a leapfrog.

I like this tune. It's nice to see Lonestar do something besides a belting ballad...and something with a country beat for a change.
Cheesey, yes, but very well written, and the video is great.

I like it even if it's a little corny. I hope the single does well for Lonestar. They are one of my favorite bands. :)

This is a good song. I never would have guessed it would have gone to number one. That's Awesome.
It is good to see Lonestar succeed with something other than a ballad.
