Wow, I agree. This is a great song, and I like her vocals. She has a slight Shania-like inflection on a few small parts of the song, but she's not trying to out-and-out copy her.
Of course, since I like it alot, I haven't even heard it on radio. ???
It's languishing down in the 40's.

I like this song too. She has a good chance at making the top 40 if she can hang on for a couple more weeks. This song reminds me of something that LeAnn Rimes would sing.

I think her voice sounds a bit like the lead singer of SheDaisy.

I like this too.
Actually, while her voice does sound like shedaisy's lead singer, this sounds like something Keith Urban might record.

It is pretty good. :) Not something I would want to hear three to four times a day, but it is a decent song for a newcomer.

This should be able to squeeze into the Top 40 on R&R once recurrents are removed for the week.

I saw Katrina Elam do a performance here in town a couple of days ago, sponsored by our local station KTOM. I'm telling you folks out there... If she comes around, you gotta go. She's drop-dead gorgeous (even prettier than the photos I've seen of her) and really sweet with fans. Oh yeah, she can she sing, too. VERY well, I might add. And, get this... She can YODEL like you wouldn't believe! Make SURE you request her yodeling song if you ever have the pleasure to see her in concert. The folks in our audience loved it. She's opening for Keith Urban on his upcoming tour, so that's a great opportunity for her. Billboard: #38 with +71 bullet. R&R: #36 Mediabase today (9/9): #35 with a +81 bullet. She's lost a few positions on the charts due to big-name singles coming out and leap-frogging her (and others around her). Just bad timing, otherwise she'd be higher by now.

Just a heads up. Kat's website is up. I think her song is at number 24 R&R this week (Correct me if I'm wrong). www.katrinaelam.com"Actually, while her voice does sound like shedaisy's lead singer, this sounds like something Keith Urban might record." I've never thought her voice sounded like the She Daisey chick. I always thought it was more of a cross betwee Martina and Trisha Yearwood. And Keith Urban did play guitar on this song.
