On the radio this morning, it was mentioned that "When I Think About Cheating" will be the next single from "Here For the Party". I also believe Gretchen Wilson stated this in a recent interview.
How well will this more traditional country sounding song do after her first two singles?
:)

I hope it does very well. It is probably my favorite song on the album after "Pocahontas Proud".

That's weird...I was listening to Here For The Party today, I thought "When I Think About Cheatin'" would be a great single. Glad it is!

I like this song. I think it's a good choice for a single becuase it's a different sound for her. "Redneck Woman" & "Here For The Party" are similar sounding, IMO, so I think it's a wise choice to show off a different side of her.

You are right on the $$$. ;) This is a nice spin on the traditional country cheatin' songs, too.

I love the Gretchen Wilson/Big & Rich connection. John Rich co-wrote Gretchen Wilson's first three singles. Both albums are among my favorites of 2004.

That song sounds like a good choice for a 3rd single. I am very interested to see how long this current success will last.

GRETCHEN WILSON SHOOTING NEW VIDEO AT RYMAN Gretchen Wilson had been appearing at the Ryman Auditorium this week for the video cameras for the future single release of "When I Think About Cheatin.'" Meanwhile, Gretchen is reveling in the march through the top ten "Here For The Party" is making, up to #7 Billboard. And, she's loving the attention her five CMA nominations are bringing her.
ALSO, Wilson's certified Double platinum HERE FOR THE PARTY debut CD, has now passed the million and a half mark in actual scanned sales.

The song is great. It should give her a third Top 10 hit.

If 'Here For The Party' does get to #1, wouldn't that make her the first artist to hit #1 with her first two singles since Clint Black did in 1989 with 'Killin' Time' & Better Man?'
Of course, those two songs wound up #1 & #2 for the year as well!!!!!

I first read that 'WITAC' would be the third single about two months ago in Billboard, and that makes a lot of sense to me as well. One CD review I read somwhere said that there are songs on this CD which Tammy Wynette would have had HUGE hits with, and 'WITAC' certainly sounds like a Tammy Wynette song to me.
Since 'Redneck Woman' figures to finish in the year-end top 15 in R&R (it's #8 right now, but will undoubtedly fall a few slots), Ms. Wilson has really given country radio a kick in the pants.

I love "Pocahontas Proud" and it is probably my favorite song on the cd, but I think song is needed to show her ability to be versatile.

This is a truly incredible song. I love the more traditional sound and feel of it. I hope for good things from this one. According to Mediabase it's already charting in the 60's and not yet for another 12 days! I wonder how it will debut on the charts?

Sounds like the top new singles artist of 2004 has another top ten smash on her hands, from and absolutely incredible CD, and certainly one of the three best debut CDs of the year, alongside Rachel Proctor's stunning debut, and Julie Roberts's critically acclaimed debut.
Nice to have some ladies making some REAL country music; I guess Nashville has learned it's lesson.

I don't like it at all. It is boring and it looks like she just copied the format from Loretta Lynn. I also don't think she has a good voice. Just another boring country song about cheating with a less than average vocal performance in my opinion.

Are you sure you've heard the song? The song is not about cheating... It's about loving someone so much that, when the oppurtunity is there, she doesn't cheat . BTW - nice comparison of Gretchen to the legendary queen of country. You're right, you know. This song a throwback to a time when country had it's own identity.... never to be crossed over or mistaken as pop or AC. A genre and a class all it's own. Boring? Not hardly. Like it or not - This is what is called "real" country... I don't like it at all. It is boring and it looks like she just copied the format from Loretta Lynn. I also don't think she has a good voice. Just another boring country song about cheating with a less than average vocal performance in my opinion. TEXTTEXT

Yeah, I heard the song and I think it is horrible, just my opinion. With all have different tastes and to me I like variety in country music, country trends change every 2 years and something new alway pops up. Thats why it is good to have a huge worldwide fan base like Shania who can get no country airplay and sell tens of millions worldwide. It is good to be diversify and not be locked into a category. By the way, I like Loretta Lynne, she was an original but Wilson is not even close to being anything original, she is just Nashville hype for this year. By the way, there are a lot of new country artists doing well, we will see in 5 years who sticks around.

Just wondering why so many stations are also playing "Redbird Fever" Is this a bad sign for WITAC?
