SCREW DIDDYWe're BACK Without HimDiddy's gonna be pissed -- TMZ has learned, Danity Kane (the band he created and later destroyed) is reuniting ... without his blessing. Four original members of the group -- Aubrey O'Day, Shannon Bex, Dawn Richard, and Aundrea Fimbres -- grabbed lunch today in L.A. with a new manager to discuss the reunion ... and sources tell TMZ, it's definitely happening. We're told they plan to record and tour. We asked the girls if Diddy was involved this time around ... their response -- "Who's that?" You'll recall, Diddy created the group back in 2005 during "Making the Band 3" and later signed them to Bad Boy Records. In 2009, Diddy fired the entire group (with the exception of Dawn Richard). It's unclear who really owns the name "Danity Kane" -- but we're told the girls are going to use it regardless. Translation: you can expect a nasty legal battle. As for why Diddy eventually gave the group the chop -- there have been all kinds of rumors ... but we're told the girls felt Diddy was screwing them big-time in the money department. I just saw the TMZ video. Crying right now! The US has not had another girl group like them since they disbanded. All could kill vocally and could dance up a storm. So glad to see Mama Bex with them. Love that woman.

I'd love nothing more than for them to return and get a bigger hit than when they were with him. '...Dollhouse' had some great potential and 'Bad Girl' would've been a huge hit if it wasn't for them being fired.
Hope a big label swoops them up. 'Damaged' still slays.

LMFAO this is the best news I have heard all week. Diddy's gonna be maaaaaaaaaad. I love it.
Their first two albums were actually incredibly solid and, as stated, there was a hole left in the market after their departure from the industry. I'm curious to see what comes of this. Andrea in particular has an incredible voice so it's nice to know that we will get to hear it again on record. LOL WHERE IS D.WOODS!?

When I met Dawn back in maybe February, she said there might be a possibility for a reunion, but that 1) they'd have to get a new name bc Diddy owns it and 2) D. Woods wouldn't be in it. So there's that. She said shed definitely be down for a reunion with the girls, but made it seem like that was a slim chance. Excited but it's going to be interesting to see what their sound will be.

It's actually happening! After seeing those pics of Aubrey and Dawn a couple weeks ago, I had a feeling a reunion was in the works. Diddy who? D. Woods who? I would've liked all five of them to return but she's always been my least favorite.
Side note: Aubrey looks the best she's looked in a while/ever in that pic. Dawn will have to get some new weave.

Diddy may have mismanaged these groups but he has an ear for quality tracks. Their second album was filled with hit potential singles. Hell, even Diddy-Dirty Money had hot tracks too. This is exciting though. I'm curious if they would be able to deliver without Diddy's backing and if they will continue with the quality they had with their previous albums. |

OMG I didn't think this reunion was possible. This is incredible news! I just hope they can somehow manage to get MTV to document this with a few TV episodes to insure that they smash. Since "Making The Band 3" I haven't really cared/watched any MTV reality shows. Ke$ha's is my one exception right now because it's music related.
