Dawn can go fall in a hole. I always wanted to like her, because she's so talented. But she has always seemed to be desperately trying to obtain fame and wealth that it just comes off as so fake and calculated.

I respect Shannon so much now, in retrospect. I never liked her on the first go around because she was awkwardly quiet and didn't showboat her talents, but she is a true woman and the classiest person ever.

I will always love and respect Aubrey as well. She might be loud and overopinionated, but she always stands up for what she thinks is right, and that is admirable. She is a confident woman and people are turned off by that these days. But at least she doesn't burn bridges on her journey.

Whelp. Heartbroken for a second time by this group. The worst part is, this was their real chance at fame. The music was on point, they cut the fat and had he best lineup, and they seemed older and wiser this go round. I will always be a fan, but there is definitely a bitter taste in my mouth knowing they were soooooo damn close to have it all shot down by one of their own. Sucks.

Aundrea was never pregnant (obviously).
They gave Aundrea a deadline to lose weight, and when she didn't make the deadline, they forced her out of the group.
At that same time, Aubrey gave a story to TMZ that D. Woods had died in a car accident. That was Aubrey's way of trying to reach out and get D. Woods back in the group since Aundrea was leaving. Aubrey called apologizing to D., too.
When Aubrey was on Love and Hip Hop LA, she kept telling Dawn's business, which is why she got hit in the head. She was also filming in a house that was not hers, which is why she got kicked off of the show.
Aubrey kept trying to exploit Dawn for a storyline. She told the producers that Dawn was homeless and that they drop her off at 7/11 after rehearsal and she doesn't know where she lives.
They had separate tour buses because they were fighting the entire tour.
Dawn intentionally leaked "Bye Baby." She gave it to Rap-Up to post. That's why Johnny left them.

Also, other music insiders have came out and expressed some of Dawn's poor decisions.

Dawn almost hit D. Woods back on the Back 2 Basics tour in 2006.
Dawn jacked Kaleena's sound.
Dawn snuck into the studio in 2008 and tried to have them remove D. Woods from "Damaged."

Danity Kane's last straw was an ambush ... 2 girls against the third.

Sources connected with the group tell TMZ ... Dawn Richard went nuclear when she found out Aubrey O'Day and Shannon Bex were meeting behind her back ... recording tracks without her and discussing business matters involving the group.

We're told the cover was blown Monday ... when Dawn showed up to the studio and interrupted a private session with Shannon and Aubrey. That's what set things off and caused the fight, that ended with Dawn punching Aubrey.

Dawn tells us the stories about her being a brute are "exaggerated lies and false accusations."

So, if Aubrey never filed the report/told the story to TMZ, we still would've gotten an album. Sad.

I don't believe any of that mess. I think this is way less dramatic then it seems. Dawn is just a control freak and Aubrey is just a fame whore and they'll never be able to work well together because their personalities don't mesh. I don't believe either one of them is some evil witch determined to ruin everyone's lives.

The only thing I do believe is that Aubrey leaked the story to TMZ. She has always seemed like someone who has no problem putting her own and everyone else's business on Front Street.

lol why would they try to get Dawns voice off the album? It makes no sense. She's on Roar, Rhythm of Love, and all the other songs fans have already heard... Once the album was dropped, if she was excluded, it woulda been hella obvious especially since fans seen her song her parts.

I believe Aub and Shannon were having meetings tho, probably cuz it was easier to have them without Dawn punching people in the back of the head for having an opinion different than hers. No way Shannon is in the wrong here, that chick is drama free and always has been. When Drea and Dawn were okay with continuing DK with just them three, Shannon is the only one who stood up for the group and all of it's members. She doesn't take sides, she just speaks truth.

And Drea is on some other shit. Of course she took Dawns side, she's obviously better friends with her. Drea is flakey as hell, as seen on MTB when she wanted to quit the band and on All About Aubrey when she pulled out last minute of a performance.

Aubrey I take with a grain of salt, but Shannon is truth. And I believe what she has to say

Not sure why Drea would side with Dawn, she was clearly the closest to Shannon during the whole time of the reunion. Shannon isn't shady. As I remember every time they have broke up it has revolved around Dawn and her solo career.

Y'all really gonna sit here and believe that Dawn just ran up and busted Aubrey in the back of the head for no reason?! Let's be real! That didn't happen. Period. And are y'all really about to tell me that Shannon would speak the truth about Aubrey if it were something negative when Aubrey's providing a roof over the woman's head?! Lmao I'm not condoning violence, but come on!

The reality is this: they got back together bc they knew none of them could make it solo. All of those old wounds were never mended, and none of them trusted each other to be honest or loyal. However, they were gonna try and make it work bc DK was where they had opportunity to be relevant and make money. It imploded before they had a chance to even start. I remember being shocked when they reunited bc Dawn mentioned earlier that year that none of the girls had reached out to congratulate her on her EP and album. None of them. When asked if they would ever reunite (mind you, this was in Feb 2013) she said would be open to the possibility but that it wouldn't be likely just bc they had all seemed to move on and hadn't spoken in years. I wouldn't be surprised if she held some resentment for them never acknowledging her solo work once they reunited.

I also remember once Lemonade came out, people billed Dawn as the 'lead' who carried the group. If Aubrey perceived any of that as truth, you know she wasn't having it! I wouldn't be surprised if she did plot to cut parts of Dawn's vocals and replace them with hers and Shannon's to even out the amount of vocal leads between them all. The issues here aren't that though, it's the sneakiness of it all, on both sides. This was their downfall the first time, right? One thing I will say, DK stayed consistent in their messiness and foolishness from beginning to end.

Do Aubrey and Shannon write their own music? If Dawn was writing all the songs, I wouldn't be surprised if the album doesn't ever come out. It doesn't sound like they were even done recording, since the fight happened in the studio.

We spent a year living on each other’s couches, sacrificing any solo opportunity that came our way, finally finished our comeback album, and were days away from filming three music videos for you that would have played out as a short movie. We lived on calls, traded endless e-mails, and sat in meeting after meeting to bring together an amazing team of producers, agents, directors, and styling teams with no manager in place.
