LOL those other two needed to not fuck up their money like that, who wants to hear an album full of Aubrey's perma-orgasm voice and whatever the fuck Shannon is working with vocally.
The group worked best with the 4 decent singers and Dawn as the standout lead.

The group worked best with the 4 decent singers and Dawn as the standout lead. Really though? Dawn never struck me as the "lead singer" of the group. None of them did. Dawn may have arguably had the best technical vocals of the group, but when they were together the group seemed to be pretty unified and even IMO. |

Here's the thing, as a group I loved Dawn, Aub, and Shannon's voices best. As soloists I can't stand a whole song of their voices alone, but together they were amazing.
Couldn't stand Aundrea or D Woods voice all together tho

Dawn's voice has ALWAYS been the foundation of the group's sound because it's lower and richer. She's always been the melody while everyone harmonized around her (her vocals as a harmonizer would overshadow Shannon or Aubrey on a melody simply because her tone is so much richer than theirs). As for ad libs, Dawn is just sick with it. She has a unique gift. Those ad libs are big part of what made Danity Kane 'Danity Kane'. Shannon or Aubrey aren't able to do that , and I assumed they had understood this and were cool with shining on the verses). I'm laughing in my head visualizing Aubrey and Shannon sneaking in the studio and trying to mimic one of Dawn's runs LMAO |

Yeah, there's really no Danity Kane without Dawn. Aside from the part she plays in crafting the songs, she even came up with the name of the group. Having said that, I don't think she's particularly easy to work with. She was one of the main reasons for both Danity Kane breakups, she no longer talks to Diddy and Kalenna of Dirty Money, she no longer works with the team that did her EPs and album. Something isn't right there. Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to hearing "Blackheart." This situation alone could be a good source for material, since she's said in the past that the album will be darker than her previous work.
