The track listing for Toby's GH2 has been released. This is surprising. Only 10 tracks, including the only new track "Stays in Mexico." No tracks from "Shock'n Y'all." I would have expected at least one more studio album before another hits package. I wonder if Toby will slow down this year?
1 How Do You Like Me Now?! 2 Country Comes To Town 3 You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like This 4 I'm Just Talkin' About Tonight 5 I Wanna Talk About Me 6 My List 7 Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American) 8 Who's Your Daddy 9 Beer For My Horses 10 Stays In Mexico Release date: November 9, 2004

Clearly meant to cash-in on the holiday season. Perhaps he didn't have time to finish a studio album, and this will tide Dreamworks over.

There's gotta be more, 10 just seems like too few.
I remember somewhere seeing that there would be live versions of 2 of Toby's early hits ("Should've Been a Cowboy" and 1 other). I can understand there not being any from Shock'n Y'all. Several artists don't include their most recent album (look at George Strait's "Latest Greatest Straitest Hits" album - nothing from the "Always Never The Same"), although Toby did for his first GH album (different label, different rules I guess).
I also heard there'd be some sort of duet. But maybe that's just a rumor, like the live tracks. But still, 10???
Maybe I'll find out more when I see him in concert this Friday (Oct. 8)

Here's the tracklisting that Billboard has announced:
"How Do You Like Me Now?!" "Country Comes to Town" "You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like This" "I'm Just Talkin' Bout Tonight" "I Wanna Talk About Me" "My List" "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)" "Who's Your Daddy" "Beer for My Horses" "Stays in Mexico" "Mockingbird" "Go With Her" "You Ain't Much Fun" (live) "Should've Been a Cowboy" (live)
Still nothing from Shock N Y'all, though as topay said, a lot of artists don't include songs from their most recent album on their greatest hits.
"Mockingbird", a cover of the James Taylor/Carly Simon song, is a duet with his 17-year old daughter, and is likely the next single. Shania should have no problem debuting ahead of him come November 9th.

Let's give proper credit...."Mockingbird" is a cover of the 1963 top pop/r&b single by Charlie Foxx & Inez Foxx that James Taylor & Carly Simon also took to the top ten in March 1974.

"We'll put a boot in your a$$, it's the American way!"
JAM!
That's the only song I've ever heard by him.

I was thinking this over, and I think there may be a good reason why Toby didn't include any "Shock N Y'all" tunes on his GH2.
Toby suggested at the Country Radio Seminar that he may start his own redord label. After "Honkey Tonk University", he'll have one more album left for Dreamworks. Perhaps he intends to have a Greatest Hits 3 with songs from Shock, U, the next (and potentially last DW) one, and a new tune or two from that.
