Very Bland. She is in the 7th inning stretch of her carear and this song sounds like a strike out to me. I think The Wrong Girl was a much better song. Just my opinion.

Not very good. Her career has fallen so far that a miracle would be needed. Unfortunately for her, this is not it.

I think we will be reading about Lee Ann Womack's "mutual/amicable" split from her label very soon.
It is a shame that she went from being the 2001 CMA Female Vocalist of the Year to this point in her career.

She hasn't hit the top 10 since her "I Hope You Dance" follow up, "Ashes By Now". Deana Carter's the only other artist I can think of who fell so far, so quickly. Lee Ann was selling what, 3 million just a couple of years ago and fell to fewer than 300K for Something Worth Leaving Behind. Her GH fared similarly, and now this doesn't look like it'll do much better.

I'm not as disappointed as most of you seem to be so far, but I too was hoping for better. "The Wrong Girl" would've been a top 10 3 or 3 years ago, but instead a good song struggled and missed the top 20. I'm not expecting any better from this. It'll probably make the top 40, and peak between 28-32, which is too bad. It may turn out be a song that grows on you over time, which is what I'm hoping for.

It made Top 40 on both charts after 3 weeks... Jumps 51-40 on Billboard this week, more than doubling it's spins from 200 to 407. On R&R it moves 45-35.

Boring??? This song is great! The production is perfect. Lee Ann's voice sounds supurb, and...what's that...THREE FIDDLES?? On Today's radio? I love it! It's a much better fit for Lee Ann as opposed to the stuff that was on "Something worth Leaving Behind". Was "Never again, again" boring to you? That was a great song, as well.
I just don't think the majority of radio listeners appreciate a real country ballad, which is sad. THIS is country music.
Sounds like a Merle Haggard song to me. I can't put my finger on exactly which one, though.

I like this better now than I did initially.
It's relatively quick movement thus far is highly suspicious though.

It is okay, but not one I would add to my Greatest Hits collection. Lee Ann has the sweetest voice of them all though. :)

Lee Ann's next studio album, There's More Where That Came From, is set to come out February 5th. The video for IMHMITM was shot this past week (Lee Ann's first video since SWLB 2 1/2 years ago).

Despite all the naysayers who began this thread (LOL).... Not only is Lee Ann in the top 20 in (with an Airpower designation) on Billboard but she's also got the largest jump in spins of ANY artist on today's Mediabase update..... Maybe this IS the single to turn around her fortunes on country radio. This one's definitely a grower, but I have fallen in love This could be right off an early 70's Dolly record....

Video is on CMT.com for those who might've missed it on the CMT Top 20....really cool effect where the Lee Ann photo becomes the real Lee Ann...

The entire There's More Where That Came From album is up for listening on CMT's website.
Wow - I'm very impressed with this record. This album is exactly what Lee Ann needed to make to turn her career around. She really needed to step up to the plate with this album and, IMO, she did that and then some. Almost every track could be a single, but I'm pulling for "When You Get To Me" to be next.

I look forward to listening to the album -- thanks for directing me there, someguy. I think this song is terrific, as was the unreleased song from her GH album, Time For Me To Go. Her voice and the arrangements are as solid as they were on Never Again Again or Buckaroo.
As for Haggard song comparisons, the most similar one I can think of is If We're Not Back in Love By Monday. But maybe the poster had something else in mind.

I don't care for this song or this arist. Any artist that INSISTS on being "pure country and NEVER crossing over" and does just that, I have no respect for whatsoever. I can't STAND IHYD anymore and hope I never hear it again. Ashes by Now was good though, but that CD was a coaster and the only one of hers I ever got.

I heard Mark Chestnutt say on 'After Midnite' this morning that Ms. Womack is one of the best country vocalists ever, regardless of gender, and that he is delighted that she's got a great record like this one climbing the charts.

LeeAnn is indeed a great talent. However I would expect a good comment like this from Mark Chestnutt. I believe him and LeeAnn are friends. They recorded a duet for her debut album. His statement is still likely true though, reguardless of bias.

Whew! I thought this way going to lose steam before it made the Top 10...but #10 this week on Billboard and #9 on R&R Her first Top 10 since "Ashes by Now", the follow-up to "I Hope You Dance"....with her and JoDee in the Top 10 again..it almost feels like we've gone back 5 years..and I mean that in the best way possible.... Guess those ACM nominations helped give this song the last boost to make it....

I don't see this getting much higher, but it's great for Lee Ann that she's finally back in the top 10. It should give some momentum to whatever she releases next.

Her new CD gets my vote as the best country CD of 2005 so far, but Trace Adkins's new CD (Songs About Me) is also exceptional.
If country radio weren't so addicted to research and playing EIGHTEEN-month old recurrents so darned much, Ms. Womack's single (as well as the not-lacking-for-attitude Jo Dee Messina anthem) would both be much higher on the chart.
