This is another good song. It's too bad country radio hasn't embraced Trent like they have a lot of new male artists recently. I listened to his whole album on CMT and it's pretty solid, with quite a few potential hits on it. I'm going to get it eventually, if I can find it around here.

I like Trent's album, too. Earlier this year, I heard a few songs from the record before it was finished (Including Beer Man). I wasn't a huge fan of it, but when I got the final master, it grew on me. It's got some great tunes, and Frank Rodgers really does a great job with the production. "Dixie Rose Deluxe's honky-tonk, feed store, gun shop, used cars, beer, bait, BBQ, Barbershop, laundromat." has been getting a ton of attention on CMT and GAC, but I havn't heard it much on the radio. Even here in Nashville.
I think a lot of people take Trent as a "Texas" roots artist, and therefore he doesn't get the attention that the other 'mainstream' artists get. Part of it is his voice. He has a bit of the Texas singer/songwriter roughness in his voice. But his vocal technique is on a much higher level than other artists such as Pat Green, so he shouldn't be lumped into the Texas group.
As for "Holiday Inn", I think it's a good song, and I hope this one doesn't flop like the other two.

This is a decent song and I understanding Sony's reasoning for releasing a ballad after two uptempo tunes, however... I really think the "sleepers" on this album are "The Good Life" and (my personal favorite) "She Don't Hate Me".
