I am looking for some information on the R&R and/or Billboard peak positions of the following songs:
Faith Hill "Cry" Jo Dee Messina, "Dare To Dream" Lee Ann Womack "Something Worth Leaving Behind"
Now, here's a tricky question that I don't expect to get an answer to; however, there are some smart cookies on here so I'm holding out hope.
Between Martina McBride's "Blessed" and Terri Clark's "I Just Want To Be Mad," there was a year of NO number one singles by female soloists on R&R. Can anybody tell me what song came closest in that year?
Thanks, folks.

Faith Hill "Cry" >>#12 Jo Dee Messina "Dare to Dream" >>#23 Lee Ann Womack "Something Worth Leaving Behind">>#20
--Billboard
On the female, the closest I can remember is Shania "Forever and For Always" peaked at #4

Did "I Just Want To Be Mad" go to #1 on R&R? It only got to #2 on Billboard, where Gretchen Wilson's "Redneck Woman" was the first #1 by a female since "Blessed".
If IJWTBM didn't go #1 on R&R then it is the closest with a #2 peak.

IJWTBM went to #1 on R&R but not on Billboard :)

Then Martina's "Where Would You Be" is probably the closest between "Blessed" and IJWTBM. It got to #3.

Faith's 'Cry' and 'There You'll Be' both spent SEVERAL weeks @ #1 on the AC chart @ R&R, but both barely cracked the country top ten, and spent very few weeks (per her chart history) on the chart as a whole.
