I know her mic was on, but it just sounded like she lip sang most of it. This really confused me, because I've seen her not lip sing before, and she has talent and can sing very well. I just thought that was weird.

I just thought that was weird. In my personal opinion, after watching it once, I would have to say NO. She did not not lip sync. Shania clearly added some stuff that was not on the recorded version. One of the added things was you could hear a live "Ahhh" from Shania at one point during the song. I do, however, think that the "band" was a tape. I think the background was a tape and, like much of the rest of the show, the sound was messed up. The sound for the whole show was bad. That is just my opinion.

It looked to me as though her mic was on, and she did some ad-libs here and there, but for the most part she was lipping the song.

IMO it wasn't lip but voice over. She messed up twice. She also added voice "ohhs" and "whooos" so I think she didn't lip.

It didn't appear to be lip... the music was canned, I believe though.

I would say it was "sing along" which is common, to get the backing sound and the fullness sound. But I don't feel that's the same as true lip synching.
