1. Why did this CD flop?? I Mean I like every song on it & I think it's her best album...I know it wasn't all country but LeAnn is country now so I posted it here...I mean some of the tracks on it are really good ("Life Goes On, "Suddenly, "You Made Me Find Myself..." etc...)
2. are there any unreleased/foreign (non-US) tracks for this album..outside of the US tracklisting of 13 songs..
thanks!

I think it flopped for two reasons:
1. They tried to market some singles to country radio that obviously weren't country (they weren't even pop-country)
2. The album wasn't pop enough for mainstream top 40/pop stations.

I will say that even though I thought this was not a good album, that the single "Suddenly" is one of my favorite, if not my favorite, LeAnn single.

It flopped because she completely abandoned her core fanbase.

The country version of "Life Goes On" was so unbelievably better than the pop version. I'm so glad she returned to country radio.

I thought the country version sounded cheap, just a few fiddles thrown over the original version. Overall Leann is much better as a country artists, but I think this song works better pop.

well in all reality...her 'country' version is still pop.
"Suddenly" is probably one of my favorite singles from LeAnn in quite awhile. Shouldn't have been released to country radio, but i'm suprised pop or even AC didn't pick up on this one. Definetly the standout track of the album.
The thing with LeAnn is that her country crossover songs sounded like nothing that was released in the pop genre...creating a niche. When she went 'full-blown' pop with "Twisted Angel', it sounded like every other teen pop album and had much more competition. I don't think it was a good enough album to really catch pop listener's attention (to a extended degree outside her fanbase)

because life goes on was such a big hit where i live in Australia- suddenly (a killer tune) was the second release from the album and it charted well, of course!
It'll be interesting to see what the pop european album is like!!

"Life Goes On" did manage to crack the Top 10 on the AC chart. But I guess that alone won't drive an album to Platinum status.
