Not to make it political, but do you think all of the unrest there this past year is affecting concert tours making that a date? I'm sure that's a possibility but I would think they'd play in St Paul then. And that is the better of the two arenas anyways. This may just have been your wording, and I'm not sure what your concert venues are like having never been there nor admittedly paid attention previously, but Dierks said in an article that the Beers on Me tour was specifically doing outdoor amphitheaters. So I'm not sure if you only have indoor arenas, which could have played a part in the decision? I know your weather gets cold super early typically, so that may have something to do with it otherwise.

Well Luke Bryan is playing a midsized amphitheater at one of the casinos so I'm sure Dierks could have done that. And yes I'm stunned Luke is doing that since he's sold out the U of M football stadium and the Twins stadium, both also outdoors. I think Dierks is more because he's playing one of the festivals within 150 miles of here. It's possible he'd add a date here since I've seen that happen with artist, like one played WeFest and then a week after that show announced a show at the State Fair, which was very late for announcing a show at the Fair since that's usually done by May and this was less than 3 weeks until the show. On a different note, when did casino shows start costing more than stadium shows? half of the Luke Bryan tickets are over $200 and like I said Darius is way high? Casino shows were usually good value since the goal was to get people in the casino itself.

I *hate* casino shows but the ones "here" (really Cherokee, NC) are usually less expensive than our headlining arena or amp tours.

I saw Hank Williams, Jr. a few years ago for maybe $40 in the 10th row and the beer was maybe $5. Not anymore.

This was never posted in here (did they not report this in the Buffalo, NY news?? rude), but Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan each have new Vegas residencies. CU’s begins in December of this year, LB’s in Feb. 2022.

Caleb Kennedy’s EP is currently #7 all genre on iTunes. If he hadn’t have left Idol it would’ve been interesting to see if he’d win it all. I personally thought he would’ve.

I was voting for him. I didn't know he had an EP on Itunes. I'll check it out. I think he still could have a good future ahead in Country music. I haven't watched Idol since he left. Not cause of why but there is no one on there left I care to listen to. My other favorite took himself out a few weeks ago too. It's been a bad season overall.

For the past few weeks, there’s been a bunch of artists announcing shows/tours this summer. Maybe Kenny Chesney should reconsider his decision to delay it to 2022 and have it this summer instead. The CDC is already saying that anybody who has been vaccinated can do normal things and many states have already opened completely with no restrictions. The ones that haven’t opened all the way yet are going to open completely by the end of June. If people don’t get vaccinated by then, that’s their own fault.

Tracy Byrd keeps teasing on his social networks, that he has a big announcement (May 19th) coming tomorrow. Been doing this like for a week now.

His EP is #6 all genre and #2 country on iTunes. His single from the EP “Nowhere” jumped from not being in the top 200 on iTunes to being #174 this morning when I checked and it jumped from #76 to #42 on the iTunes country singles chart. I’m looking forward to him releasing the song he sang for his mom on Mother’s Day on American Idol. The boy is a tremendous songwriter.

Blake Shelton tour this fall, same friends and heroes format but this time with Martina McBryde, Tracy Byrd, Trace Adkins....and Lindsay Ell as the opener. So that's pretty good

Lady A just announced their new tour with opening acts Carly Pearce and Niko Moon. I wonder what happened with Jake Owen and Maddie and Tae?

Based on the venues he's playing at, I'm guessing that decision had to be made a few weeks ago, and they had to make that decision with the information they had at the time. Just an assumption, but that's probably why he can't reverse the decision now that the CDC guidance has changed. I would hate to be the booker for major tours or venues this year and next. It's going to be chaos.

I think it’s just that it’s a new and different tour due to them being done with Ocean. Also, Tenille Arts is opening too. Carly & Tenille might just make up for not having Jake or Maddie & Tae! Not very excited about Niko Moon though.

I listened to his EP today on the way home from work and let it play 3 times. This kid is like the little brother of Luke Combs. His writing and style reminds me so much of him. It's pretty damn close to the same quality. It's such a shame things turned out the way they did. He easily could have been the next Scotty McCreery and been another 16 year old Country Idol winner with a great career ahead of him. Give it a couple years and I think he'll show up in Nashville and make it the old fashioned way and meet with other songwriters and really up his skills even more. He's got a great future ahead of him.

Mira Goto's new single is Fine. She was kinda popular with "Nobody Warned Me" in my Global Country RD + this song has a beautiful melody, so sharing this. You only see her name in Music Row Breakout Chart, but she is really talented imo. http://instagr.am/p/CPETkE0D-Pe

His set wasn’t really one I was super crazy about seeing, but after going to it I would definitely go to one of his shows.

He's got a great future ahead of him. His songwriting quality, especially being 16, was fantastic to me. Even I feel he doesn’t make it as a singer, his songwriting will get wherever he wants to go IMO. I hope he does get a chance in the future because he definitely has the talent and if he had done that video or whatever this year that’s one thing, but he was 12. Anyway, definitely see the Luke Combs comparison. I sometimes thought of it as a mix of LC and Wallen at times. It’s interesting to me because LC is supposed to be on the finale so I assume they were going to perform together. I didn’t watch this last week, but I’m going to assume Chayce Beckham will win now and I think he could do well in country also. Considering Caleb performed with Jason Aldean earlier this year, I almost wonder if there’s a chance he ends up on Jason Aldean’s label that Tyler Farr is on. Or maybe Luke Bryan’s in the future.
