I read an article elsewhere that Lon already has a new platform and distributor lined up.

So like can Shania release the first single off the supposed album set to be released in the next century cause that'd be great.

This can't be true since I was told Wallen was a victim of cancel culture.

This can't be true since I was told Wallen was a victim of cancel culture. If the term 'victim' means you were suspended by your label for three months and banned from country radio for six months, then I need to revisit that term. Even more money for Morgan Wallen.

I know this got brought up in the past...but Carly Pearce admits here she screwed up the lyrics of her Cowboy Take Me Away cover. It's pretty funny.

I think my favorite part of this is that she actually messed up the lyrics in two places in her cover and only mentioned one of them in this video. (The other line is when she sings I wanna look at the horizon and I see a building standing tall when she was supposed to *not* see a building, lol)

Can anyone remember if Reba has any Mediabase-only #1s in the past 15-20 years other than "Be A Light"? I'm trying to put together a playlist of all of her #1s, which is easy up through "Somebody" because they were all compiled on her #1s album in 2005. But since then I'm not sure if there were any Mediabase-only #1s.
After "Somebody", I have:
"Consider Me Gone" "Turn On The Radio" "Be A Light"
Which feels like it might be all of them. But I know there is a possibility that "Because Of You" might have been able to get there on Mediabase...

But fuck it, I went ahead and added "Because Of You", "Take It Back", and "Falling Out Of Love" because they all went #1 in Canada, even if they were not part of her U.S. #1 total And then for good measure, "Back To God" because it went #1 on the Christian charts!

Lol trust me, this is only one of about a bajillion Reba playlists I have I have her whole catalog too of course! I just realized that I don't have a playlist of just her #1s. Which could be nice if I ever want to listen to just the iconic stuff without having to skip past some of the forgotten early '80s stuff in my playlist of all of her single releases. Although I suppose my playlist of just her top 20-peaking hits would also suffice for that purpose... 😂

Chapel Hart performed You Can Have Him Jolene on America's Got Talent and got golden buzzer. Damn, why is it that this song/them sounds better live on AGT than on the record? This performance was 🔥 The biggest thing keeping me from fully getting into them so far is that they're music has been low budget, which makes sense since they're indie, so I hope they can use this platform to elevate their music and potentially get some success.

This is what I told my boyfriend when we watched this yesterday. With proper production on their music, they could be something really special. This performance was incredible and I’m excited to hear more from them on the show. Hopefully they’ll go far and at least land some $$$ to reproduce some of their material and record some new songs too. Lyrically and vocally and stage presence they’re great though!

I know she is really pursuing an American country career, to which she has definitely had some success (top 25 hit, ACM New Female, etc) but damn - part of me wonders if she really dug into her stuff in Canada just what it might do. Selling out arenas there is way cooler than clubs here. Also, Sony really needs to give her another chance at radio. She had one single flop and they threw in the towel. "Girl Who Didn't Care" and "When's It Gonna Happen" are both ridiculously radio friendly and did well in Canada, I'm not sure why they're hesitating in even trying.

^ This. Considering how well she does up there, you'd think they'd at least have tried something else here from her new project. Seems to be pretty common for most Canadian artists to get like 1 chance at American radio for every like ~5 singles they put out, so it's certainly far from an anomaly though.
