A quote from that article is really encouraging and exciting. "[Lane] goes, 'You have to do this. They will kill it for you,'" Alaina recounts. "I got to chat with Hardy and with Morgan and they all were really excited for me to be over there and super encouraging. Morgan said something really sweet: He said, 'You have a really big place in this format and I think they're gonna help you claim it."
Big Loud partner/CEO Seth England tells Billboard that fans can likely expect a new project from Alaina, produced by Joey Moi, by the end of 2022. It's too soon to say what specific songs and details fans can expect from the venture, but Alaina -- whose career has taken her all over the map, from a stint on American Idol to Dancing With the Stars -- says she wants to lean hard into her foundation.
'I really want to tap into my country roots," she explains. "I don't think people remember, like, how Southern I am. If you go back and watch me on American Idol, I'm like a country girl through and through.' "
Moi works with a lot of Big Loud artists like Morgan / Chris Lane / Jake Owen, etc, so I am excited to see what he can pull out of her. I really enjoyed Paul DiGiovanni's work on the Getting Over Him EP (her best body of work in my opinion) but if she's hoping to lean more traditional, this is the right move.

Looks like this remake of Carrying Your Love With Me is popular on Tiktok. (It's country-trap hybrid fyi.) This is complete and utter garbage what an insult to not only the king but to country music as a whole I hope his career in music goes nowhere I imagine this asshat as buddy youtu.be/93a3U1-aQi8Walker Hayes is responsible for more people making this Tik Tok garbage and calling it country music.

You don't have to listen to it. Or you can, decide it's not for you and move on. Or you can listen, blame someone else for having someone else make a song you don't like and then complain about it. I mean, yes, if this song was being played on country radio, and added to country playlists and being played at award shows, you'd have a beef. This is on Tik Tok. Yes, it does suck. But no reason to get so worked up over it and blame a person who you think sings a similar style.

This guy doesn’t have a great voice like Walker Hayes. If Walker recorded this awful Carrying your love with me song …Country radio would be all over it. But this song and Fancy Like have a similar sound/beat.

So yes, yell at the clouds all you want. Just seems like you energy could be used in better ways. And just to add I agree with you - the song sucks. I just don’t know why Walker Hayes is blamed for a Tik Tok song lol.

It's amazing to me just how great Dolly Parton's voice still sounds, made even more obvious by all these recent duets she's been doing with other old fogies whose voices have not held up the same... 😂☠️

Love all the opportunities being backup for Eric provided her, but I've been hoping for years for her to get back to making music on her own. Her two albums are fantastic and highly underrated! I don't expect big things for her but it'd be cool if Eric were to give her a boost some how when her new music is ready!

Many articles are leaving out this important point "According to Us Weekly, though Ashley and Wynonna are not mentioned by name specifically in the will, a source close to the family told the outlet the two are listed as beneficiaries of Naomi’s trust."

Of course they're leaving out facts because they want to sensationalize the story. People buy their magazines and tabloids and are fooled every damn time.

We lost Olivia Newton-John this week. She did place a lot of singles on the country chart. She scored thirteen top 40 hits between 1973-1979. Her biggest was 1974's If You Love Me Let Me Know. That was the title track and lead single to her album. Released in March, it peaked at #2 for two weeks in June and July and could not pass Room Full Of Roses by Mickey Gilley and Anne Murray's He Thinks I Still Care. It was a crossover hit, peaking at #5 on the Hot 100 and #2 on the adult contemporary chart. She did get one more hit off the album and that was I Honestly Love You. Like the previous single, it was a crossover hit, peaking at #6 country, #1 Hot 100, and #1 A.C.. While the latter song was on the charts, Newton-John won the C.M.A. Female Vocalist of the Year. She won against formidable opposition: Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Tanya Tucker, and Tammy Wynette. R.I.P., Olivia.

I thought Tanya Tucker recorded The Thunder Rolls in 1988, the same year Garth Brooks signed to Capitol Records. Anyway, an interview with Tucker and Brooks about the song followed by Tucker's version with the third verse. I have Tucker's version on my phone:
