I'm very happy with this choice. The only songs I could see having more success as a 2nd single are "Got A Feeling", which is really beautiful, and "Mountain" and "Cold As War", which are the most rock-radio friendly, but are probably two of my least favorites on the record. If they weren't going to go with a ballad like "Got A Feeling", my top choices were "Picture Perfect" and "Dark AM" because of their epic choruses so I'm happy with this choice all things considered. Devin told me on Facebook he only sees this peaking around #25, and I'm predicting somewhere around #20, so you're on Dev!

I really like to see Mountain as their next single...very radio friendly... top 15 for sure Maybe as the second single it would. As a third single, I think that's a bit ambitious, but hey we're seeing P.O.D. defy expectations with their third single (albeit a more ballad song suggesting Sevendust should consider "Got A Feeling".) Bur yeah, "Mountain", "Got A Feeling", and "Cold As War" are the three most radio-friendly songs on the record...But I very much prefer. "Decay" and especially "Picture Perfect" over two of those three from an all around quality of song standpoint.

I was really hoping the title track would get some airplay since it's my favorite. "Cold As War" and "Dark AM" are good too, "Picture Perfect" never really stuck out to me.
Also, what happened to "Till Death"?

The title track and "Dark AM" would have been at least as fine choices with me as well. "Cold As War" sounds obviously tailored to radio, but I think it's arguably the most boring uninspired song on the album.
As for "Till Death", are you serious? That's among the heaviest most metal songs they've ever done! Unless, did you think it was in line to be the next single? Because I'm pretty sure that was never the case.

Because I'm pretty sure that was never the case. 'Til Death was posted here before as being the 2nd single. Also the lead singer said it'd be the next single when I saw them in concert. Then again, Deftones also said 'Poltergeist' would be THEIR second single. I'm glad "Till Death" wasn't the actual single, too heavy for success.

I don't think "Till Death" was ever posted here as the single. As for Lajon saying that...the band said in a video that it'd be "Dead Roses". Then they told me at a show it'd be "Cold As War". Then I asked John on facebook and they said it was between "Mountain" and "Got A Feeling" haha. As for "Till Death" it may have been in some ways the 'second single' as it was added at Sirius Liquid Metal and is the first single they've had in rotation at metal specialty in forever. I think for a long time nu-metal was ostracized from the metal world, but now it's starting to make a bit of a comeback.

They probably won't because they're working on an acoustic record due out early 2014 so they will probably release a lead single off that when they would have released a third single off this. The timing works out pretty well for that.
If they go for a third single off this, it should be "Got A Feeling" because that would make the most sense in conjunction with the acoustic release. In the absence of the acoustic album, I probably would have wanted "Dark AM" third.
