Going for adds February 7th, although I've read some Lila fans have heard the song on the radio already. Her fourth album will release in June 2005. You can listen to a clip here: www.brokenbowrecords.com/lilamccann/index.html(Note: the album description on the page is for her third album Complete) Not sure how this will do on radio, but I like it and hope Lila gets more recognition.

I like this too! I guess what I was expecting was another mid-tempo country-pop tune like the ones Lila has become known for, (silly me!!) but this is not that! I sure hope this does well, mainly because it's different. Let's see how it goes!! Ann-Marita www.annmarita.com

Not a fan of this. I was one who liked her pop-country stuff.

I love Lila! She reminds me of Angela Via.

I like this. Not as much as some of her previous stuff, but it's good.

This doesn't seem to be doing much... I don't really know who this lady is... but I'm really into this song. I don't really ever look at the country chart, does it look like a flop?

Good song, surprisingly appealing (considering what I thought of her hits) although I always did think Down Came a Blackbird deserved a chance. This is well-arranged and has a good feel.
Are there other country songs where you find the word "patronized"? The writing here is good. I hope it reaches the top 40, but I don't hold out much hope -- anybody who changes their musical direction is likely to disappoint the old fans while not winning over the new.

But you have to consider that she's on the same label as Craig Morgan....and so far all of his singles have sounded the same. I don't think he's very talented at all.

"Go Easy On Me" is currently sitting at #48 on Mediabase with a +20 bullet. While that's not good by any measurement....I think cracking the top 40 is a realistic goal.
Lila has had a strange track record with country radio. Either her songs do really well ("I Wanna Fall In Love" - #3, "With You" - #9) or her songs fail miserably and cannot crack the top 40. The only single that has peaked between #40 and #10 is "Down Came A Blackbird", which stalled at #26.
With that said, I think Broken Bow and Lila should set realistic goals for this single. I think top 40 is a good start and allows a better foundation for her next single. I've heard the entire album and it's has some great material. I think she could make a comeback if given the chance.
