Let's see if an overall Callout thread can become interesting again. :) On the Currents Only chart: - "Counting Stars" is still #1, though the margin has shrunk a little bit.
- "Brave" returns to the Top 10, though that's only due to "Demons" going recurrent.
- John Legend debuts at #13. With familiarity at 68%, that's a fairly impressive start.
- Pharrell debuts at #16 - not bad either, but his familiarity is 77%, and negative score is nearly equal to that of his Favorite.
- "Drunk in Love" debuts at #22, though with a pretty high negative.
- "Can't Remember to Forget You" debuts at #27, with a negative score over half its positive and nearly double its Favorite.
- Aloe Blacc debuts at the chart's bottom (#33), though with a bare minimum familiarity score.
- Also debuting: Kid Ink (#30).
The Currents + Recurrents chart has quite a few interesting things going on... - "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark" jumps four to #4, and is only six points-and-change away from "Counting Stars".
- "I Will Wait" and "Same Love" return at #9 and #10, respectively.
- "Suit and Tie" returns at #23.
- John Legend's debut is #24 - this chart goes down to 69.
- There appear to be no Golds in the mix this week; both the Current-Recurrent and Curr/Recurr/Gold charts go down to 69.

February 14, 2014Currents: - OneRepublic spends another week on top, but this could be its last, as it continues to drop in points, while "Dark Horse" gallops 8-2 with a six-point gain.
- "Happy" leapfrogs "All of Me", which takes a step back towards Earth as it loses four points - and its Familiarity dropped by three as well. ??? What the hell?
- "Adore You" plummets 18-26, losing just under five points. It also lost a little over four whole Familiarity points. Really?
- "Hey Brother" debuts at #30 with a decent Positive score, though its Familiarity is low.
- "Classic" debuts at #33. Positive is fairly low, though its negative isn't overly large, and its Familiarity is still low as well.
- The list goes down to 35 this week.
Currents/Recurrents: - "Same Love" 's moving back up the Top 10 again; it moves from 10 to 7.
- After popping back in last week at #9, "I Will Wait" disappears again. Whatever...meanwhile, "Sweet Nothing" returns after disappearing last week.
- Meanwhile, Flo Rida trades one low-ranking song for another as "How I Feel" disappears while "Wild Ones" returns.
- Also disappearing: Thrift Shop (after jumping ten spots last week!), Love Somebody, Die Young, We Can't Stop, The Way (the latter two after popping back in last week).
And once again, there are no Golds in the mix this week.

February 21, 2014Currents: www.mmr247.com/mmrweb/call/callout.asp?VIEWID=&GRC=C- As expected, "Dark Horse" gallops to the top this week. Its next contender looks to be "Say Something", which jumps 5-3.
- Soaring in at #10 is "Turn Down For What". I'm amazed that it's flying in with such high Familiarity (just under 88%).
- "All of Me" continues to lose ground, while "Happy" more-or-less holds firm (only down a notch due to the debut).
- "Adore You" continues to sink as well; it now has the third-highest negative on the entire chart. Given its recent spin updates, I'm thinking this will start hemorrhaging spins, soon...
- "Classic", apparently, has dropped below 60% Familiarity, as it disappears this week.
Currents/Recurrents: www.mmr247.com/mmrweb/call/callout.asp?VIEWID=&GRC=CR- "Same Love" disappears again, while "Thrift Shop" pops back in. Go figure...
- Also popping back in are "The Way" and "We Can't Stop". Can't Mediabase at least be consistent on keeping recurrents on or off this listing?
- A song that was not there two weeks ago that returns, though, is "I Love It".
- Besides "Classic", also disappearing are "Daylight" and "Love Don't Die" (the latter also leaving the Currents chart, obv).
Yeah, a pretty boring week on that end. Once again, no Golds this week.

f**k I forgot to do this yesterday. February 28, 2014- "Dark Horse" remains on top for a second week.
- Turns out I misspoke earlier - "Chocolate" is the only debut of the week, with not exactly great scores (only "Pumpin Blood" ranks lower) and bare minimum Familiarity.
- "Happy" jumps four on the Currents chart (16-12), but toss Recurrents in the mix and it's a 12-point jump (32-20).
- Still no Golds in the mix, and Current + Recurrents only goes down to 59 this week! No songs re-enter that list this week, and these all disappear: "My Songs Know...", "Sweet Nothing" (again), "Thrift Shop" (again), "Suit and Tie", "Slow Down", "The Way" (again), "I Love It", "Wild Ones". Besides dropping <60% Familiarity, is there another condition that kicks in where a song would disappear from the Callout chart?

I don't get the negativity for "Adore You" it's a nice/safe ballad, it's probably more of a reflection of Miley herself being polarizing. Either way the song hung around in the top 15 on iTunes for a while despite ever really taking off in airplay so people were liking it more than the call out indicates.

March 7, 2014"Dark Horse" spends a third week on top. In addition to the recurrents, "Do What U Want" disappears; clearly Mediabase saw the writing on the wall there. What's very odd, though, is that "Hey Brother" also disappears, again leading me to wonder if there's another non-arbitrary component that leads to songs disappearing from the Callout chart. It's definitely not lack of Familiarity in this case; it had 73% Familiarity last week. "Headlights" is the sole debut this week, a not-so-impressive #25 (out of 29). It's on the higher end of the Positive scorers, but the same is true for its Burn score as well. On the Current/Recurrent chart, there are nine re-entries. Four songs that popped out last week - "Sweet Nothing", "Thrift Shop", "Slow Down", "Suit and Tie", two that return right in the Top 10 - "When I Was Your Man" (#8), "Just Give Me a Reason" (#9), plus "I Knew You Were Trouble", "Love Somebody", and "Whistle". This chart goes down to 64 this week. In addition to the two aforementioned droppers, "We Can't Stop" (again), "Don't You Worry Child", and "XO" also disappear. And, once again, no Golds in the mix.

Strange that "Headlights" already has a 12.7% burn rate. I imagine it will drop below 10% as familiarity goes up. It's #5 in net positive, though, which is quite good.

March 14, 2014Currents: www.mmr247.com/mmrweb/call/callout.asp?VIEWID=&GRC=C - "Dark Horse" is #1 for the fourth straight week. It's pretty much plateaued in terms of its overall score, but the continuing slight decreases for "Counting Stars" at #2 means the gap continues to grow.
- "Happy", meanwhile, appears to be the next real contender for the top spot (as on the spins chart). It gains just over four full points this week, going up from 10 to 7. It's just over 12 full points out of #1.
- "All of Me" now reaches Top 10 territory as well (14-10), only gaining a hair more than Pharrell but still just over 7 full points behind him.
- "Turn Down For What", after debuting at #10, is now #11 for the third straight week (down about three-and-a-half points).
- Debuts this week are "Red Lights", "Waiting For Superman", and "#Selfie", none of which are very impressive - the only song that doesn't outrank all three is "Pumpin Blood", which only outranks "#Selfie", and "Pumpin Blood" is the only non-debut song which any of the three outrank.
- This will probably surprise absolutely no one, but here's the lowdown on "#Selfie". It debuts with the lowest Positive score (34.45), second-lowest Favorite score (11.76; only "Pumpin Blood" ranks lower), and a 55.46% Negative score - leading to an overall Net Positive of -21.01.
- The chart once again goes down to 29 (as it did last week). Besides the now-recurrent "Timber", "Adore You" and "Chocolate" disappear.
Currents/Recurrents: www.mmr247.com/mmrweb/call/callout.asp?VIEWID=&GRC=CR - This might be a new peak for the song (did it ever get this high on callout previously?), but "Let Her Go" jumps from 4 to 2.
- "Happy" now reaches Top 10 territory with recurrents in the mix as well, leaping from 18 to 10. "All of Me", meanwhile, leaps from 37 to 21.
- After reaching #4 last month and then disappearing, "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark" returns at #13.
- After popping back in last week, both "Just Give Me a Reason" and "When I Was Your Man" disappear again. Surprise! So too do "Love Somebody" and "Slow Down".
- Also disappearing is "Love More". Wonder if this one might be for good...
- Coming back for more, though, is "Locked Out of Heaven", up from 23 to 15 and gaining nearly two-and-a-half points.
- Other returns (none of which are very high): "Little Talks", "One More Night", "Die Young".
- This chart goes down to 62 this week.
And, once again, no Golds this week.

Super late. March 21, 2014Currents: www.mmr247.com/mmrweb/call/callout.asp?VIEWID=&GRC=C- "Dark Horse" is #1 for a 5th week. It should get at least one more, maybe two.
- "Say Something" hits a new peak as it inches up to #2 this week. It could very easily slide back to #3 or lower next week, though.
- "Happy" is up nearly another three full points, and jumps 7-4. Still 9 & 1/2 points to catch Katy, so it may not be surprising if Pharrell needs at least three weeks to do it.
- "Turn Down For What" continues to lose ground, dropping in every measurement except for the two bad ones, Negative and Heavy Burn. Position-wise it slides 11-14.
- Conversely, "#Selfie" does the exact opposite, except for Heavy Burn (which increased), and Familiarity (which dropped slightly).
- And, "Waiting For Superman" is a one-week wonder, disappearing completely. There are no new songs this week.
Currents/Recurrents: www.mmr247.com/mmrweb/call/callout.asp?VIEWID=&GRC=CR- Passenger remains at #2, but the gap increased a bit (Katy gained a little, Passenger lost a little). Again, not a threat to Katy at #1.
- Coming back for more is "Sail", which pops back in at #5. I think that might actually be a new Callout peak for that song. Points-wise, it's 9 & a quarter behind Katy.
- "Cups" also returns at #17. "Same Love" also returns at #37, which is shockingly low considering it was #7 back on Valentine's Day before disappearing the week after. "Treasure" and "Wild Ones" also return.
- And speaking of disappearing acts, "I Knew You Were Trouble" and "Thrift Shop" disappear again.
- "Talk Dirty" has moved 40-28-21 over a two-week period. (It's #11 on the currents-only chart.)
- This chart goes down to 64 this week.
Still no Golds in the mix.

March 28, 2014Currents: www.mmr247.com/mmrweb/call/callout.asp?VIEWID=&GRC=C- "Dark Horse" is #1 for the sixth consecutive week. Pharrell (4-2) gains on her by nearly two full points - thinking Katy gets at least two more weeks on top unless she starts dropping and/or Pharrell speeds up.
- The only other notable point gainers this week are John Legend and Jason DeRulo (10-8, 11-9, respectively). John's up three points and Jason's up two. For John, this puts him six behind Pharrell - and possibly soon in prime position to leapfrog him.
- Everyone else seems to be holding steady - aside from "Turn Down For What", which bleeds a little less than another three full points, and "#Selfie", which gains a few but is still far into the negative for Net Positive.
- The two debuts this week are "Not a Bad Thing" and "Latch". Neither debuts that highly (Justin: #22, Disclosure: #25), though Justin debuts with a decent Positive score and among the lower Negative scores. If it's any consolation for "Latch" supporters, that comes in with minimum Familiarity yet, while Justin comes in with slightly above minimum.
- This chart goes down to 26 this week.
Currents/Recurrents: www.mmr247.com/mmrweb/call/callout.asp?VIEWID=&GRC=CR- The Top 3 are the same on both this and Currents-Only. So Pharrell's jump is 6-2, here.
- After returning at #5 last week, "Sail" bleeds over four full points and slides to #13.
- "Somebody That I Used to Know" returns this week at #23. "Love Somebody" also returns once again at #26. Also returning are "The Other Side" and "I Love It".
- Not much else to report; the only other notable movement this week is "Clarity" sliding 26-37 and "Turn Down For What" sliding 32-43 (in contrast, the latter holds at #14 on the Currents-Only chart).
- Just two disappearing acts this week - "White Walls" and "Little Talks" (again). This chart goes down to 68 this week.

April 4, 2014Currents: www.mmr247.com/mmrweb/call/callout.asp?VIEWID=&GRC=C- "Dark Horse" spends its 7th week at #1. At first glance, it would appear that Pharrell's chances of ever catching her are now in serious jeopardy.
- The thing is, this appears to be a rather down week across the board up top - of the entire Top 10, only three gained anything: John Legend (8-6, about one & 1/3 full points), Jason DeRulo (9-8, just over 1 & 1/2), and American Authors (11-9, 0.31). Katy and Pharrell both lost only change, though Katy lost more.
- Bruno Mars also takes "Young Girls" into the Top 10 (12-10)...and loses just over a full point in the process.
- DJ Snake & Lil Jon appear to have stopped the bleeding, at least for the time being...they actually gain a tiny bit, and moved back up 14-12.
- MKTO have a rather impressive debut, coming in at #13 with the third-highest Positive score (behind only Katy and John Legend), the fifth-lowest Negative score, and in turn the third-highest Net Positive score (again behind Katy and John, though not in the same order). They also come in with 75.82% familiarity - lower than everyone above them, and below them until #20 "Not a Bad Thing".
- Christina Perri debuts at #18, with stats slightly worse across the board than MKTO and even a little more Familiarity than them (78.29%). None of her numbers really stand out - for better or worse, she's middle-of-the-pack among all rankings. Still, even she comes in better than Justin.
- Speaking of Justin, though, he does still have a decent week - gaining over three full points, increasing all his good numbers and lowering all his bad ones. Position-wise, he moves 22-20.
- Paramore debuts at #24. At first glance, that might seem rather poor for them. But, here's where Familiarity makes all the difference: Across the board, their numbers are all better than Christina Perri, and their Negative is even lower than MKTO. Plus, they're top 10 in Net Positive, and only Justin has a lower Burn rate. Unfortunately, they debut with bare minimum Familiarity, the week's lowest.
- The same could possibly be said for the week's final debut, "Wild Wild Love", which debuts at chart bottom of #27. Yes, that puts them below "#Selfie", which is still deeply into the negatives for Net Positive. "Wild Wild Love" can't say the same thing, yet probably the only reason it's placed lower is because "#Selfie" is now up to just under 83% Familiarity, while "Wild Wild Love" debuts with 61.62%. Still, it's among the bottom five in Positive and Net Positive, and top five in Negative.
- The chart goes down to 27 this week.
Currents/Recurrents: www.mmr247.com/mmrweb/call/callout.asp?VIEWID=&GRC=CR- Here we go again..."My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark" is back up to #4 once again (up a little less than two full points, a little more than 8 & 1/2 behind Katy). How long till it gets yanked yet again?
- Someone who's really coming back for more, though, is Ke$ha, with "Die Young" leaping 34-18 and gaining a little over 5 & 1/2 points.
- Oh, and "Slow Down" returns at #20. When (if ever) was it that high? Also returning are "We Are Young", "Give Your Heart a Break", "Alive", and "Whistle".
- John Legend's gain finally brings him to the Top 10 here (14-10).
- "Cups", "Sweet Nothing", "Love Somebody" (after only one week back), "The Other Side" (ditto), "I Love It" (ditto), "Same Love", "One More Night", and "Wild Ones" disappear once again.
- Another one making a surprising jump is "Thinking About You", leaping 47-35 and gaining a little less than three points. I don't think it was ever this high on the Current/Recurrent ranking.
- To get an idea of just how much Recurrents still factor in the mix here, "Classic" 's debut puts it at #40 on this chart.
- This chart goes down to 69 this week - yes, between all the debuts, re-entries, and disappearing acts, they still manage to net gain one song this week.
BTW @thatmusik josh ...you are welcome to take this whole thing over if you really really want to.

It's strange that Justin has such a low familiarity rate, which is what is keeping his call out lower than it should be. He's in top 10 on pop radio and #14 across all formats. I know the video hasn't exactly blown up with numbers, but radio listeners should still be aware of the song. ???

:) Thanks for posting the updates LibraAre Wild wild love call out scores okay for its debut? Did WWL pass the test? what's the most important numbers that radio sees to play a song more, the familiarity score or the burn out rate? Thanks! It's probably a combination of everything - Positive/Negative, Burn rate, and Familiarity. Lower Familiarity usually doesn't hold a song back, as that number will just go up. What I've never understood, though, is how it'll actually decrease on some weeks. ??? Its scores really aren't very good at all to begin with, though again, it probably really should be ranked ahead of "#Selfie", even with that 20+% Familarity difference. That kind of anomaly is what makes me wonder how they configure their formula for this (for overall Pop Score).

Yeah, the pop score just makes no sense. They place WAY too much emphasis on familiarity. That's why I always sort by positive.

Yeah, the pop score just makes no sense. They place WAY too much emphasis on familiarity. That's why I always sort by positive. It's gotta be their combined score w/all the factors configured in rather than just an arbitrary value assigned to it (hello, Potential). BUT since that's how they rank these from week to week, that's why I go with it for chart position analysis here. Totally would base it chiefly on Positive if it was that instead.

When will we get callout scores for "Empire?" When its Familiarity >60%. :) There's no absolute way to determine when that will be.

April 11, 2014Currents: www.mmr247.com/mmrweb/call/callout.asp?VIEWID=&GRC=C- "Dark Horse" spends its 8th week on top, but sees its first real sizable loss this week, as it loses just over a full point.
- Staging a real coup this week is John Legend, who leaps from 6 to 2, gaining about 3 & 1/3 points. With Pharrell also down over 1 & 1/2, it may be a safe bet to say that he's now been shut out of the top spot here.
- More Top 10 news: "Talk Dirty" (8-6) up about a point and a half, Bruno (10-9) down about two-thirds of a point, and DJ Snake/Lil Jon return to the Top 10 (12-10) up a little less than half a point.
- Shockingly, MKTO's numbers remain exactly the same as last week - but due to OneRepublic's recurrency, they get pulled up a notch to #12.
- Figure this out: Christina Perri's positive scores are down just slightly, its negative is down just slightly, its burn is down slightly, and its Familiarity is up a little. This translates to - an overall increase by three-fourths of a point (and moving from 18 to 16).
- Points wise, Paramore (24-22) have a much better 2nd week, up 2.4 points and its positives up and negatives down. The same is mostly true for Pitbull (27-25), up 2.2 points, except for a slight Burn increase.
- Rixton debut at a not-overly-impressive #20. Though its Negative score is on the lower end, so too is its Positive score, and for what it's worth, its Favorite score is rock bottom by far.
- Even less impressive are the debuts of Trey Songz and B.O.B./Priscilla, who both debut in that order below "#Selfie", which is still #26 this week. Yes, their debuts mean the chart goes down to 28 this week.
Currents/Recurrents: www.mmr247.com/mmrweb/call/callout.asp?VIEWID=&GRC=CR- John Legend's leap is even more impressive here, up from 10 to 2.
- This week's "Coming Back For More" award goes to "Radioactive", which jumps 9-5, up one and three-quarter points.
- Subsequently, after "coming back for more" last week, Fall Out Boy disappear once again...from the Top 10. They bleed three-and-a-half points and plummet 4-11.
- In what should probably be no surprise, "The A Team" returns. What may or may not be a surprise is that it returns up at #13. And bouncing back in again, right behind him, is...Taylor Swift, with "I Knew You Were Trouble".
- After leaping to #18 last week, Ke$ha holds firmly in place this week.
- Down two-and-a-half points and falling seven notches to #21 is the sinking ship that is..."Sail".
- Pulling a one-and-done disappearing act this week is "Slow Down". And after disappearing last week, "Same Love" comes back again, this time up a little higher (#31) than it had been recently.
- Also returning: "Daylight".
- To get an idea of just how low overall lower-Top-10 current songs are on this chart, "Young Girls" slides from 32 to 35 this week.
- Other disappearing acts: "We Are Young", "Thinking About You", "Love Me Again", "Replay", "Treasure", "Pumpin Blood", "Give Your Heart a Break", and "Alive", the last two of which are also one-and-dones.
- This chart goes down to 67 this week.
