Personally, I kind of like this song, but I'm not sure why (anyone else ever have that feeling, LOL). :) I'm not sure how well it'll do on the radio, though.

I think it's a great song and perfect followup single.
I was fortunate enough a few months back to see her put on a small acoustic set and I was really impressed.
Her personality is also impressive as well. I took a song I wrote about a yr ago (still looking for someone to put music to it so I can see about getting it published), and she was kind enough to read through the whole thing and comment on it. She was impressed and told me she liked the hook and that just overjoyed me.

Is this the smae Tiny Town that everyone wanted Tracy Byrd to release? I never heard it but it created quite a buzz.

If memory serves correctly I think this is an autobiographical song that she either wrote or had a hand in writing, so unless Tracy's was written by Shelly, then I doubt it. Go to www.allaccess.com and you can listen to the entire song, or even on her site, I believe they play a snippet.

It is not the same as Tracy's....According to Tracy via an online chat for his fan club, his Tiny Town will be his next single [ off of his Greatest hits 2 out on 2/8 ], so I don't know if one of them will have to change names of song or what.

I like the song as well, it's a ballad with a different sound than her first single. I liked You Don't Lie Here Anymore, but I don't think that made it very high on the charts, maybe low 30s. It looks like it is scheduled to go for adds on February 7th, so it will be interesting to see if this does better than her first single.

"This song is about having strong ties to your family and your hometown and everything that you go through when you decide to move away for the first time," she says. With this song, I wanted to tell my family how much they've given me, how important they are to me. The first time my parents heard it, they both bawled, I'll never forget that moment."- Shelly Fairchild

Two great ones in a row from her. I hope this one hits on the charts.

I like this one, too. I really enjoyed "You Don't Lie Here Anymore" and it seems these days... it is hard for me to enjoy an artist two singles in a row. I don't know how high this is going... but I hope they don't dump her.

A DJ on XM Highway 16 was saying yesterday that FM isn't giving her a chance, but they are and are very happy about it.
I think she has a very powerful voice and both songs have been strong and - gasp! - original. I guess we'll have to see if others catch on...

As of this morning's Mediabase chart, she was down to #64, with -71 spins. It doesn't look good for this song!
