Hey there. I'm new here, but I was wondering if I could ask a favor. Does anyone out there have a link to a website that shows current album sales totals for all country albums? I would appreciate anything that you think might be relevant. I know about Hits Daily Double where it has the top 50 sales amounts for the last week, but I was wondering if there was a place where you could look up current total sales of the new Julie Roberts and Sugarland CD's (great CD's!). BTW, LOVING THE NEW LEE ANN WOMACK CD!!!!!!!
and looking forward to: Chely, Jamie, Jessi Alexander, JoDee, Amy Dalley, and ANNA NALICK (check out her music at annanalick.com, great new Hot AC artist)

Thanks, how do you find Soundscan though online? I assume that's what you meant by SS?

Thanks so much for your help! Two questions though:
Where did you find this? And was I wrong in assuming that Julie Robert's CD had gone gold?

Thanks again for the help. Also, is it true that Sugarland's album has been climbing? I sure hope so, because that album is amazing. Their song is definitely gonna go top 5 so that should only help. Also, the second single "Something More" is amazing and should further their sales. I hope this album at least goes gold. And one more question, does Billboard base charts on actual sales or on shipments? Thanks.

The BB album charts are all based on shipments.

The BB album charts are all based on shipments. On sales rpovided by SoundScan. The certifications of RIAA written beside the album/single are based on sales and shipments.

Thanks. Also... if anyone knows the sales for the last Rachel Proctor album and Carolyn Dawn Johnson albums I would love to know them. These are two great artists that I felt got VERY shafted by the labels in their last single choice. I think "Where I Belong" by Rachel and "Die of a Broken Heart" by CDJ were both great but NOT radio friendly at all. I wish they had picked better singles so these girls could have sold some albums. Thanks for all the help.

I agree that those singles weren't radio friendly either.
I saw Rachel about a yr b4 her CD came out and she put on a good show, but I just can't get into her CD at all. If That Chair Could Talk would have been a GREAT single. CDJ's Dress Rehearsal CD I feel was lame compared to Room With A View.

Ms. Proctor's first single,"Days Like This', did hit the top 20 @ R&R in October of 2003, and her follow-up single, 'Didn't I?' barely cracked the top 50.
I'm disappointed that her terrific debut CD didn't do better either.

Marv, you're correct about those two singles but her third single "Me and Emily" hit #18 I believe and did well enough to warrant an album release. Where I Belong was the make or break single that really bombed and let the album drop off the charts. I really hope she puts together and amazing sophomore album and hopefully the lack of pressure she has to create an amazing sophomore album to live up to the first one will loosen her up a bit and let her have some fun with the CD and make some radio friendly hits. Anyone know the sales for this thing?
Also, I was wondering how the latest Andy Griggs and Phil Vassar albums are doing since they are from the same label group and personally seem like they should be on the chopping block considering the great radio play they get (at least compared to Rachel and CDJ) should have produced better results than they got.

Thanks again for the help. Wow, that's a shame about Carolyn Dawn Johnson. Does anyone here have any idea if they are going to be dropped? I think that they are each gonna get one chance to have a hit single to launch a new album, and if it doesn't hit then they're gonna get dropped. Here's to hoping they pick the perfect song.
Also, does anyone know if their label-mates Andy Griggs and Phil Vassar are also on the chopping block or what their latest album sales are? Because I would think that with the radio play these guys get that RCA/Arista would drop these guys considering their album sales.

Andy Grigg's total sales for his CD "This I Gotta See" are 147,660 after 27 weeks. It ranks #41 on the country weekly sales chart. Sales were up 17% over last week. Phill Vassar's "Shaken Not Stirred" total sales after 20 weeks are 97,952. Up 5% this week. Rank #53

Can you give the sale numbers of Clark and Currington too? (If we have the statistics of a part of Mercury's artists here.)

Rachel's CD is great!! It flopped because radio won't play her. Great for Sugarland!!!! Hopefully they have continued success for years. Does anyone else here think that Andy and Phil are gonna get dropped? I mean they are on the same record label group as Clay Walker and he got dropped. I assume he had to have sold as many CD's as they did plus he's a lot better imo.
Also.... CONGRATULATIONS LEE ANN!! GREAT CD AND GREAT SALES COMBINED!!!

Rachel's first single, 'Days Like This' hit the top 20 in October of 2003, but her next single, the absolutely flawless 'Didn't I?' barely cracked the top 50.
'Me And Emily' did much better, but I absolutely aloved all three singles, and her CD is the best debut CD I've heard since Cyndi Thomson's in 2001.

Cyndi Thompson was great. Too bad she left the business.

Phil Vassar just had a number one and his next single is still rising although slowly. I think they will wait at least a couple of more singles before dropping him. ??? ???
