I have done this for the past couple of years on the old R&R board and thought I would try it again. I have received permission from the moderators to do it here instead of the Tournament thread since it is all country.
Here's how it works. It is set up like March Madness in College basketball. 64 songs will compete tournament style to see what is the biggest song of 2004 as voted on by this board. The Top 4 songs (as listed by Radio and Records) are the 4 Number 1 seeds. The next four are the 2 seeds and so on and so forth. The highest overall seed (Remember When) gets the easiest bracket seed wise meaning it will go against the 64th song. Since I got conflicting reports on the 51-64 spots on the chart I added some of my own (it's my tournament so :P0favorites that didn't make the top 50.
Each beacket is divided into the four regions, North, South, East and West. This means nothing but helps seperate everything. The winner of the North bracket will go against the winner of the South Bracket. East against West. You get the picture. Any questions should be e-mailed to me at bamafan2102@aol.com to keep the threads as small as possible (I promised to keep them small). Also you can send me your picks at the same address. All ties are broken by my lovely wife.
North Bracket is first.
1. Remember When
16. No End In Sight
8. In A Real Love
9. I Love You This Much
5. Days Go By
12. Songs About Rain
4. Somebody
13. My Last Name
6. I've Got A Feelin
11. Nothin' On But The Radio
3. Sweet Southern Comfort
14. The Wrong Girl
7. Girls Lie Too
10. That's What It's All About
2. Redneck Woman
15. You Are
Any songs by the same artist in the same bracket is pure coincidence(spelling?). I stuck to the same formula through the whole bracket.
Voting begins now and goes through Sunday night at 10 p.m. Pick between 1 and 16, 8-9, 5-12 and so on. You should have 8 songs in your reply. Any questions, let me know as some of the non basketball fans don't really know what it's about. Now GO VOTE!!! Feel free to put comments in your replies as well. I like to hear what people think about the matchups.
PLEASE VOTE ON ALL SONGS> it gets hard to keep up with if some matchups are not voted on. I should have made this clear before but I figured it was a given.
Rules are subject to change as this tournament goes. (They won't but if I don't say that some one like STEELO might not understand.)
