"Roar" has been 50% above "Blurred Lines" this week on iTunes, does it have a chance to hit #1? The airplay is bigger and I suppose streaming as well.

^BL has multiple entries charting, though, so it won't exactly be 2-to-1.

What about Katy's streaming? I'd guess that might dip this week after initial interest in the lyric video fades a bit (but that's a wild guess).
I also think people are underestimating the impact Applause's video will have. I think #3 is virtually a lock.

^BL has multiple entries charting, though, so it won't exactly be 2-to-1. Plus it's the #1 and #12 best selling single on AmazonMP3 as well. The multiple versions are helping it out immensely. Gaga was ahead yet sold 70k less than Blurred Lines.

No summertime sadness for Ms. Elizabeth Woolridge Grant's fast-rising hit. Posts like this confuse me lol...like...who the f*** is that? I had to look up at the mediabase #s to figure it out. How do you know these names?! lmgtfy.com/?q=Elizabeth%20Woolridge%20GrantWikipedia is also a good source, if you're curious about it. =P

The Fame Monster EP has sold less than 50,000 copies since May 2011? It was at 1.5 million back then.

PTB- some, like me, may opt for The Fame/The Fame Monster combo pack. Also- did Billboard report the 1.5m figure? It rounds numbers, so if it reported 1.5m, it could have been anywhere in the 1.451-1.499m range.

Katy:47.6 million singles and 4.3 million albums Vs. Gaga:41.4 million singles and 8.8 million albums Official numbers (from the article they totaled): First, digital song sales: Katy Perry: 49,897,000 Lady Gaga: 46,322,000 And, album sales: Lady Gaga: 8,817,000 Katy Perry: 4,333,000 Gaga apparently lots of album tracks? Quite a difference, unless you messed up math maybe?

Gaga is missing Marry The Night in the list, so that's part of that 500k difference (thought MTN would have sold 500k at the very least though... )

Gaga has a lot of "quasi-singles" beyond MTN that had videos or were otherwise semi-promoted that aren't called out:
Eh Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say) - video Beautiful Dirty Rich - video Christmas Tree - this was sort of promoted Hair - buzz single #12 on Hot 100 Speechless - #94 on Hot 100
Those have each probably sold a few hundred thousand.

Each album track would have to average about 250-300K to boost the total that high.

I just cannot picture this symbol with this song. So there is hope for the rest of songs of eternity. For a while there, I was beginning to wonder.

Hair also had a few promotional performances if I remember correctly around the release of the album, and it benefitted from being a countdown song.

Yes, I believe Taylor Swift's countdown "singles" have all sold over 500k too. And she has loads of those.
