i'm really very confused with Lyric Street.
I had first-hand knowledge that "Here's To You" was going to be the final single from "Feels Like Today" Yes, this was a few months back...but it seemed like a done-deal.
Then a few weeks back, I was told that Lyric Street was really considering releasing "Skin". Last I knew, "Skin" was going to be the next single.
Now, every music source has confirmed that "Fast Cars and Freedom" is the next single. My only explanation is that RF and Huff are not as far along on the next album as they hoped to be at this point and are deciding to release a few more singles after "Bless The Broken Road". I think "Fast Cars and Freedom" will do well for the guys...but I mean, it would be a seriously idiotic move on Lyric Street's part to not release "Here's To You" Just a great SMASH hit song! Hopefully it's still a future single.

HTY would be another multi-week #1 for them. "Fast Cars & Freedom" will also do well, but it just doesn't jump out at you as much as HTY.

FC&F is a good song however, if I were going to release an uptempo song from the album (other that HTY), my pick would be "Where You Are". Maybe I just like WYA because it sounds like something from RF's debut album.

'Fast Cars And Freedom' is the new single, according to a full page ad in last week's issue of R&R.

I read on Gac's website that there are no plans to release Here's To You as a single but they just finished a video for the song and I think they are releasing a Live DVD by the same title. I cannot stand the three singles and done thing. George Strait is king of this and I stopped buying his albums because of it. If the album is worthy of being released it should be worthy of at least 4-5 singles. I'll admit I do get tired of an album because if I really like the artist I buy the disc on release day and wear it out pretty quick. But the guessing game of deciding singles is a fun part of the process. There are plenty of single worthy cuts on the Rascal Flatts album, Where You Are, Here's To You, When The Sand Runs Out. Hopefuly they will release at least one more before moving on to a new album.

I think their album is VERY weak. I'm just glad I didn't buy it.

These guys are popping out singles left and right. Strike while the iron is hot. I do see "skin" doing a little action on Mediabase. But, I love "Fast CArs and Freedom."
I'm sick of "Broken Road". I don't think it's that great of a song. But that's just my opinion.

I agree. Ron Hemby who was with The Buffalo Club (great album by the way) sang background vocals on it. Her album is decent, I still listen to it every once in a while.

The Buffalo Club (great album by the way) It's a shame those guys didn't get together a few years earlier than what they did... unfortunately, they came at a time when that "sound" was somewhat going out-of-style, so to speak. The Rising Tide record label didn't help much either.
