Do you remember a July 1988 #1 R&B song by the Mac Band called "Roses Are Red"? I bet it didn't make the low reaches of Billboard's Hot 100 chart.

Produced by LA Reid and Babyface. It was The Mac Band's only Top 20 R&B hit. It also went Top 10 in the UK. Love it.

Nope, didn't cross over at all. I also liked their followup "Stuck", also an LA and Babyface prod, which I think got to around #23.
