This is the new single from Rebecca, going for adds on April 4th. This is the song they are replacing "Pontiacs" with. Sounds pretty good, although not as good of a song as "Pontiacs." I still can't for the life of me figure out why Arista didn't just let the song run it's course, hit or not, instead of prematurely pulling it for this one. Must've had a good reason I guess. Anyway, here's a song clip. www2.allaccess.com/wma/rebelove.wma

AWWWWWWWW MAN! Call me a scrooge, but I'm so tired of these songs about people dying and stuff. Mostly cuze I feel so manipulated cuze you know they put it out because it will push more buttons with people. p.s. I think "That's Why I Hate Pontiacs" was WAY better than this one. p.p.s Thanks for the link.

She sounds nice but this is way too boring. Maybe I need to pay more attention to it the next time I listen.
I'm surprised she keeps going! You go girl!

It is pretty song, and I love her voice, but it's a bit of a snooze for radio. I guess I'll never understand how a record company can change horses in midstream when they have no product on the street from the horse of either color. I remember when charts were based on record sales and radio played what people were buying. Did I dream those days? I guess we are in the strange new world of label promotion and Clear Channel, where payola is legal, and you don't need product to have a hit. I think her career has been mismanaged by her labels, management and country radio (and TV).
If I was her, I would have slapped someone with a lawsuit years ago. It's the American Way!

This one is finally gaining some steam. #44 at Mediabase. We shall see how long this climb continues.
